State Bank of India Officers’ Association Bhubaneswar Circle :
Our Association is known as SBI Officers’ Association, Bhubaneswar Circle and registered with Registrar of Trade Union, Govt of Orissa on 19th August 1978 at Cuttack.

The birth of our Association is due to highhandedness and intimidating attitude of the then State Bank management during that material time. The founding fathers of this Association As per its Bye-Laws, the affairs of our Association is managed by a Circle Executive Committee consisting of 20 members and 3 ex-officio members who are the Zonal Secretaries of
the three Module Committees whose Head Quarters are at Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Berhampur(Gm.).
The Association has very strong 13 undivided District Committees out of which 2 District Committees of Koraput and Kalahandi are known as Regional Committees. Each Branch of the Bank and Administrative offices have formed Unit Committees. In a nut shell the Association is a strong cadre based organization.
Our Association publishes every month its house Journal “Officers News” which has already completed its successful publication for the last 31 years. Our Association has maintained 3 Transit Houses at Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur
where our members, retired comrades as well as comrades from other Circles are availing this facility at subsidised rates.
Our Association has also established a Cooperative Credit Society much before its formal registration at Cuttack in the year 1974. The Society at present is a very strong Cooperative institution with an working capital of approximately 13 crores with a base of approximately 2000 share holders.
Some Of the Important Conduct Rules :
** Every officer shall conform to and abide by these rules and shall observe, comply with and obey all lawful and reasonable orders
** If the directions of the Superior Officers are oral in nature, the same shall be confirmed in writing.
** Every officer shall take all possible steps to ensure and to protect the interest of the Bank and discharge the duties with utmost integrity, honesty, devotion and diligence and do nothing, which is unbecoming of an officer.
** Shall make a declaration of fidelity and secrecy to the Bank.
** Not to indulge in any act of sexual harassment of any woman.
** No officer shall act as an Agent of an Insurance company in his/her individual capacity except on behalf of the Bank.
** No officer shall grant loan to any individual or company in which his / her spouse is connected.
** No officer shall take an active part in politics, stand for election as a member in civic / legislative bodies.
** No officer normally shall accept or permit any member of his / her family to accept any gift from any person obligated to the Bank.
** No officer shall bring any political or outside influence pertaining to matters of his service.
** No officer in his/her individual capacity will borrow money or permit any member of his/her family to borrow money from any one having dealings with the Bank except from those companies permitted as per terms & conditions laid down by the Bank.
** No officer should discount or cause to be discounted cheques without sufficient balance.
