Bar Council Online Registration Form
** Place the mouse over the ‘Form’ menu. The link would display a set of three options namely ‘Registration’, ‘Incomplete Form’ and ‘Id-card’.

** Clicking on ‘Registration’ link would take you to the registration form, where you can fill your details .After submitting the form a ‘Transaction Id’ and link for ‘PART-II Registration’ will be generated to you. Transaction Id is valid for next 24hrs .Note down your transaction id for future references which we will discuss and follow later in these instructions.
** Clicking on ‘PART-II Registration’ would take you to the second part of the online application, where you can fill your details .After submitting the form a link for ‘PART-III Registration’ will be generated to you.
** Clicking on ‘PART-III Registration’ would take you to the third part of the online application, where you can fill your payment details and your registration will be completed.
** If you don’t want to complete any part at that moment, note down your transaction id and you can complete your registration within 24 hrs by clicking on ‘Incomplete Form’ link. After 24 hrs transaction id will become invalid and you have to again start registration from the beginning.
** Clicking on ‘Incomplete Form’ link would ask you for the transaction id. After filling transaction id you will be able to complete your registration.
** After completing all three parts of registration you can generate your id-card by clicking on ‘Id-card’ link .This page will ask you for transaction id .After submitting transaction id a form will appear .You can fill your details and after submitting it you will be able to download your id-card.
Bar Council General Instructions
** Candidates for Enrolment should be present in Enrolment hall at least 30 minutes before the time fixed for Enrolment. Late comers will not be permitted to get enrolled as Advocates.
** Advocates who signed Form No. VII should be present to move the Enrolment of candidates.
** Enrolment of Advocates is a solemn function and strict discipline should be maintained during the Enrolment function.
** Photographers duly authorised by the Bar Council alone are permitted inside the Enrolment hall.
** Bursting of crackers, playing drums, vinyl of banners and placards in and around the Bar Council premises during the Enrolment function are strictly prohibited. The candidate, who is responsible for the same will be disqualified from getting enrolled as an advocate.
** Usual form of moving is as follows:- “ I am happy to move the Enrolment ……….As (Name of the applicant) advocate before the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu. I wish him all success, “I do solemnly affirm that I will bear true and allegiance and the dignity of the legal profession”.
** The candidates shall mention the criminal case of conviction or trade or business or employment in the appropriate columns of the enrolment application and if the information furnished is found to be false at a later stage that the candidates are involved in any of the criminal case or conviction or trade or business or employment, her/his enrolment application shall be rejected.
** Ordinarily, the enrolment will be conducted on every Friday or such other date as may be fixed by the Enrolment Committee.
** Name of the applicant will be included in the list only after the approval of his/her application by the Enrolment Committee.
** The applications must be submitted only in person during office hours between 11.00 a.m. and 04.00 p.m.
** The conduct certificate in column No.6 shall be obtained as far as possible from the advocates, who are hailing from their native place/District. The candidates are requested to avoid getting conduct certificate from the Notary Public.
** The candidates are directed to give publication as far as possible in the edition of their native District or Region.
** Solemn affirmation to be taken at the time of enrolment.
** The applications processed (after receipt of Police Verification and University Verification) on or before WEDNESDAY alone will be considered for enrolment on Friday of that week. The applications processed after Wednesday will be included in the next enrolment only.
