Complaint Registration:

** Every Citizen has a legal right to file a factually correct and truthful complaint with the concerned authority. In case of any matter in which Andaman & Nicobar Police is authorized to act, one may file complaint through the following ways:-

** The citizens can register online complaint through citizen portal then check the status of their online on below Link citizen.andaman.gov.in (Citizen Portal is under customization)

** In case of any Crime related complaint/ Traffic related complaint/ Economic offence related, one may call the Andaman & Nicobar Police Control Room No. 100. In case of any Crime related to Women & Child one may call the Andaman & Nicobar Police Control Room No. 100 or the Women & Child Helpline – 1091 & 1098 or may complaint to inspector Women & Child Support Unit.

** Also, one may complaint to the concerned area Police Station or Police Post. However, if one is dissatisfied with the response of the Police Control Room, Police Station or Police Post then one may complaint to the concerned Sub-division Police Officer, SP, DIG, IGP, DGP/Andaman & Nicobar. ** The citizens can also submit their written complaint at the Public Window established at the ground floor entrance of Police Headquarters, Andaman & Nicobar. The citizens would be given a public window complaint number on the spot.

Immigration Related Matters :
RAP is Restricted Area Permit which authorize a foreign national to visit certain areas of A&N Islands. Under A&N Foreigners (Restricted Area) order 1963 entire Union Territory have been declared as Restricted Area.

To visit and stay overnight in Municipal area of Port Blair, Havelock, Long Island entire Island of South Andaman & Middle Andaman excluding Tribal Reserved Area (5 KM away from Constance Bay to Luis Inlet Bay- Western Coast Tribal Reverse), Baratang, Rangat, Myabunder, Diglipur, North Passage Island, Little Andaman excluding Tribal Reserve and all Islands in Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park expect Boat, Hobday, Twins Island, Tarmugli, Malay and Pluto Island He/She can also visit Jolly Bouy, South Cinqiue Island, Red Skin, Mount Harriet, Madhuban, Ross Island, Narcondum, Interview, Brother, Sister and Barren Island during Day timer. (Visit of Barren Island is restricted on board the vessels with no landing ashore).

About Us :
The system of Policing was exclusively on the pattern of Military organization, with a small strength of 75 Civil Policemen for observance of local laws and for accompanying the prisoners to the jungle as guards against aboriginal tribes.

An organized form of Policing in Andaman and Nicobar Islands was established in August, 1875 with the extension of Indian Police Act of 1861 to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Capt. Wimberly was appointed as first District Superintendent of Police.
