How To Apply For KSEB New Electricity Connection?
KSEB New Electricity service connection application shall be made in prescribed Service Connection Application Form; the same application form can be used for obtaining permanent / temporary service connection or for re-effecting a dismantled service.

Simplified Service Connection application forms are available at a cost of Rs 10/- at Electrical Section, Division and Circle offices. (The format of application is available for reference from the bottom of this page). Detailed instructions for filling the application and list of documents to accompany the application are provided along with the application forms.
The applicants for weatherproof service connection not requiring phase addition, post-insertion, support post etc can remit security deposit, Service Connection Charge (SCC)/cost of effecting supply at standard rates along with the application fee, on the basis of the data furnished in the application form. In case of other consumers intimation to remit Security Deposit, Service Connection Charges /cost will be given through mail after site inspection.

Go to the official website of KSEB. Click the Customers tab available. Then click on Get a Connection link under the customers tab.

Instructions to Applicants for new permanent / temporary service connection :
Please go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application. Please ensure that all particulars are duly filled in order to avoid possible rejection. You may contact the Assistant Engineer directly for any clarification.
Applicants are required to produce the original document for verification whenever photostat copies of certificates are produced. The original document will be returned from the enquiry / reception counter, after verification.

Service connection application shall be signed in the presence of official authorised to accept application form. To verify identity, the applicant / authorised signatory shall produce photo identity card in the original. If the applicant is unable to appear in person, an officer of KSEB or Gazetted Officer shall attest applicant’s signature.
Documents Required For KSEB Electricity Connection
Following documents are required for KSEB New Electricity Connection
The following documents shall be produced along with application for Low Tension Service Connection. Please refer to KSEB Terms & Conditions of Supply 2005 and instructions with service connection application form for more details.
1.Proof of Identity (Photo Identity Card).
2.Ownership Certificate. In case of service connection for domestic purpose and for construction purpose approved plan / building permit issued by local body also is acceptable. In case of Service connection for agricultural purpose, Building number issued by local body will not be insisted if possession certificate for land issued by revenue authority is produced.
3.Sketch showing details of connected equipments, marked in building plan.
4.Test Certificate of Capacitor Banks, if applicable.
5.Test Certificate of energy meter & replacement agreement, if consumer supplies meter.
6.Consumer’s Installation Completion Certificate.

Some AE/AEEs insisting for building No. for Agricultural connection even though I produced Possession Certificate from Revenue Authorities. What is the solution?
My new house is 150 mtr away fro road. How many posts required for new connection and what is the cost of each post?
The electrical connection to our flat in Guruvayur township was disconnected for non remittance of a long pending bill. The house owner who happened to be my mother Mrs. Omana kutty had expired and my father was not in a condition to take note of this default that had happened sometime in 2012-13. When we inquired at your office in Guruvayur it was informed that the KSEB office requires ownership certificate for giving fresh connection. Meanwhile last month our father too has expired. Now myself and my brother are the only successors of Late Mrs. Omana kutty. Both of us stay out of Kerala and have no residence in Kerala. Will it be possible for us to get a temporary connection in this house so that we can stay there and get the succession certificate and rest of the papers ready at the earliest. Till the succession certificate is ready will the proof of my relationship with the owner of the house, ie; late Mrs Omana kutty, which is mentioned in the Passport and Bank Pass book be accepted along with an NOC from the other successor for giving temporary connection? And if so what are the other documents that need to be produced other than succession certificates? If this is not possible what is the alternative that can be suggested by you? Kindly guide us in this matter.
Can you tell me whether a house hold connection can be used for near by agricultural land of 5 cent for running the motor to water some vegetable in the near property from the house hold connection?
Does KSEB stipulate any minimum land holding requirement for agricultural connection under Tariff 5 A and 5B ?
