JHS Journalist Health Scheme Enrollment
Journalists Health Scheme was launched on 8th January, 2016 vide G.O.Ms. No.64 HM & FW (A.2) Dept., Dt: 27.07.2015.It is intended to provide cashless treatment to all the working and retired journalist. The beneficiaries can avail cashless treatment for the empanelled specialties in all the Network Hospitals for all the listed therapies. ”

Eligibility :
Both accredited and non-accredited working and retired Journalists, and their dependents. The Scheme will be applicable to both accredited and non-accredited Working and Retired Journalists. The Commissioner, Information & Public Relations Department will compile the details of eligible journalists for coverage under the scheme.
Enrollment:
How the Journalist/retired Journalist can enroll in JHS?:
Steps for login:
a. Login into jhs.telangana.gov.in
b. HOME >User Login>>User ID & Password.
c. Click on Registration > select Health Card Enrollment.
d. On clicking ‘health card enrollment’, the page will navigate to ‘registration form’ onto which journalist ID will be auto populated.
e. Here the user now has a provision to fill the personal details, working details, identification details, address for correspondence and add attachments if any. After entering all the mandatory fields, the user has a provision to partially save the details.
f. After entering all the mandatory fields, the user has provision to click on ‘add details of family members’ to add the beneficiary details.
g. On clicking ‘save family member details’, a pop up message shown as a ‘family member details added successfully’.
h. Once all the mandatory fields like personal details, working details, identification details, address for correspondence, family member details are added, the user now clicks on ‘SAVE’ button onto which a message ‘saved successfully’ will pop up as shown.
i. On saving the details, the user now has a provision to ‘submit application’ as shown.
j. On submitting the application, a pop up message shown as a ‘ application for health card has been submitted and it is pending with DPRO for approval’.
What is the DPRO role in JHS?:
a. Identification and registration of new Working and Retired Journalists into JHS scheme
b. Verification of Health card enrollment form submitted by Working and Retired Journalists
c. Approving Journalist enrollment form and Health cards
d. Coordinating with the AHCT.
Steps for login for DPRO to and registration of new Journalist to the scheme:
a. Login into jhs.telangana.gov.in
b. HOME PAGE>User Login>>User ID & Password.
c. Click on Registration > Adding Journalist to Scheme
d. On clicking ‘adding journalist to scheme’, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to enter first name,last name and mobile number along with which the user has to select the department, designation and district from the drop down box
e. Once mandatory fields are entered, the user needs to click on ‘submit’ button.
f. On clicking ‘submit’, a pop up message shown as ‘Journalist Code: KRM00010 Created Successfully’ will pop up as shown
g. Journalist User Id and password will be sent to the Journalist/retired Journalist through SMS to given Mobile Number and Mail Id.
Steps for login for DPRO to approve the form submitted by Journalists:
a. Login into jhs.telangana.gov.in.
b. HOME PAGE>User Login>>User ID & Password.
c. Click on Registration >Enrolled Journalist Application
d. On clicking ‘Enrolled journalist application’, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to click on appropriate journalist ID hyperlink to view the details.
e. On clicking ‘journalist id hyperlink, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to either approve or reject the application.
f. DPRO will Approve/Reject the form submitted by the Journalists/retired Journalists.
g. If approved a pop up message shown as ‘Approved by DPRO’ and if rejected journalist will receive SMS to given Mobile Number and Mail Id.
IPRO Role in JHS:
At IPRO level, card will be finally approved:

a. Login into jhs.telangana.gov.in.
b. HOME PAGE>User Login>>User ID & Password.
c. Click on Registration > Applications submitted by DPRO for approval.
d. On clicking ‘applications submitted by DPRO for approval’, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to click on appropriate registration ID hyperlink to view the details.
e. On clicking ‘approve’, a message shown as ‘Approved by IPRO’.
f. If rejected journalist will receive SMS to given Mobile Number and Mail Id
What are the Documents need to be Uploaded for identification:
Any one of the documents is mandatory:
a. Aadhar card.
b. Certificate Of Physical handicap.
c. Driving license.
d. Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC).
e. Freedom Fighter ID card.
f. Id Card Issued For Beedi workers by Ministry of Labour.
g. Job Card Issued Under NREGP.
h. PAN Card.
i. PassBook with Photograph issued by Public Sector Bank / Post Office.
j. Passport.
k. Pension Document.
l. Pink ration card issued by AP Civil supplies Dept.
m. SC/ST/BC Certificate.
n. Student Identity card issued by Recognised educational Institution.
