1. Is the Open School Certificate equivalent to the Board Certificate?
The Certificate issued under Haryana Open School is very much at par with the other corresponding certificate issued under the formal system by the Board.
In fact, the students who pass out from HOS can take admission to the next higher class within Haryana as well as outside Haryana; they are also eligible for employment as per the orders issued by Haryana Government.
All the Universities of Haryana have issued a circular granting equivalency to Haryana Open School Certificates.
2. How many days are given to apply for rechecking of answer book after the declaration of the result?
30 days are given for the purpose of application for rechecking from the date of declaration of result.
3. Who is entitled for Kalpana Chawla Gold medal award?
This award has been instituted for the girl candidates of Secondary & Sr. Secondary Examinations of this Board. The girl candidate standing first in Both examinations will be entitled to Kalpana Chawla Gold Medal along with cash prize of 25,000/-.
4. Can a candidate who is failing in one subject in matric examination opt for Science or Commerce stream at 10+1?
Such candidates can take Science and Commerce stream subject to the conditions that they cleared the subject they have failed in within immediate next two chances.
5. How does one get his/her Migration Certificate?
In order to get the Migration Certificate one has to apply on the prescribed form along with the prescribed fee of Rs.100/-.However, from the annual examination 2003 all successful candidates at senior secondary level get their Migration Certificate along with the pass certificates.
