1) A Covering letter addressed to The Registrar, Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council, Chennai requesting to issue of Duplicate Registration Certificate.
2) Copy of TNPC Registration Certificate
3) A Sworn Statement o n a Twenty Rupees stamped paper duly signed by the Magistrate Or Notary Public about the genuineness of the loss of the Original Registration certificate.
4) Non-traceable Certificate from Police
5) An Identification Certificate duly signed by a Gazetted officer stating that you are a Registered Pharmacist and attesting your Photograph duly signed and stamped
6) Address proof – Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Ration Card, PAN Card or any certificate issued by Govt. Authorities.

Procedure of TNPC Duplicate Certificate
1.Fill the online request form
2.Scan and upload the image of your photograph:
a) Photo size W 30 mm x H 35 mm File size upto 100 KB
b) Signature size W 55mm x H 10 mm File size upto 30 KB
3.Make the payment of Fees as detailed below
4.Submit all the above documents along with payment particulars by Regd. Post.
5.Your Duplicate Registration certificate will be sent by Regd. Post.

The Duplicate Certificate fees of Rs.1050/- (including Postal charges Rs.50/-) can be paid as follows :

TNPC Rules
Preliminary :
1. These rules may be called the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council Rules, 1953.
2. In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject of context.
a. “the act” means the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (Central Act VIII of 1948)
b. “the Council” means the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council constituted under sections 19;
c. “dispensing” in relation to a medicine or a poison, means supplying a medicine or a poison on and in accordance with a prescription duly given by a registered medical practitioner, a registered dentist or a qualified veterinary surgeon;
d. “Executive Committee” means the Executive Committee of the Council constituted under section 27 (1);
e. “Form” means a form appended to these rules;
f. “Government” means the Government of Tamil Nadu;
g. “Ministerial staff” means the clerks and servants appointed by the Council under section 26 (b);
h. “President” means the President of the Council;
i. “Registrar” means the Registrar appointed under section 26;
j. “Returning Officer” means the Registrar of the council. (GO Ref No. G.O.(MS) No.304, dt.22-11-2006 of Health and family welfare (Z1) dept)
k. “Section” means a section of the Act;
l. “Treasurer” means the Treasurer referred to in section 26 (a).

Tamil Nadu State pharmacy Council is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the provisions of the Pharmacy Act of 1948 The Council consists of 6 members elected by Registered Pharmacists amongst themselves, five members nominated by Government of Tamil Nadu, one member elected by Tamil Nadu Medical Council and three Ex-Officio Members.

Functions of TNPC
The Tamil Nadu State Pharmacy Council (TNPC ) is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the provisions of the Pharmacy Act of 1948. The Council is responsible for the regulation of the profession of pharmacy in the state of Tamil Nadu.
The main functions of the TNPC are as follows:
** To grant registration to pharmacists who meet the required qualifications.
** To maintain a register of pharmacists in the state.
** To conduct examinations for the purpose of registration.
** To promote and improve the standards of pharmaceutical education and practice.
** To advise the government on matters relating to pharmacy.
** To investigate complaints against pharmacists.
** To take disciplinary action against pharmacists who violate the provisions of the Pharmacy Act.
