Guest Houses:
In order to provide accommodation to the faculty members of other IIT’s, Educational Institutions, Student Guardians etc. The institute runs two Guest Houses which has 46 rooms and 12 rooms respectively.

Accommodation in the Main Guest House is provided to people like Director’s of the other IIT’s, Ex-Director’s of IIT’s , Ph.d Examiners, Selection Committee Members etc. Accommodation in Faculty Guest House is for faculty and officers visiting IIT Delhi for official work/ project work or for attending conference/seminar/workshop/JEE/GATE meeting etc. and at times for guests of IIT staff / parents of students.

Central Research Facility :
A Central Research Facility is of utmost importance in any academic institution where state-of-the-art analytical and high-end instruments are housed at a single location manned by qualified personnel to provide scientific and technical services for supporting research carried out by UG, PG, PhD and project students.
Such a facility represents a key commitment for preserving and raising the efficiency of research to top international standards. It strengthens the research-relevant infrastructure of basic science and technology.
In this connection, the independent building, Block VII is planned to house the most modern equipments to service users of the ever expanding number of UG and PG students and researchers with various needs. A future endeavor will be to make this facility available to other academic and research institutions, industries and organizations in the neighborhood.
DAILAB @ AIST :
The Department of Biotechnology of India (DBT) and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Japan) have established a new joint research laboratory, named DBT-AIST International Laboratory for Advanced Biomedicine (DAILAB) at AIST Tsukuba and RCB, India.
AIST President Dr. Ryoji Chubachi and DBT Secretary Prof. K. VijayRaghavan signed the joint research contract and the opening ceremony was held on October 3, 2013, at AIST Tsukuba.
