How To Fill MSVC Registration / Renewal Form?

APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION IN STATE VETERINARY PRACTITIONER’S REGISTER

General Instructions For Filling Application (Registration) Form :
1. Please read the form carefully and study the enclosures about Oath/Declaration and Undertaking, etc.
2. Overwriting in the application form is not allowed.
3. Application form should be filled-in by the applicant in his own handwriting.

4. The documents specified at Sr.No. 11 of application form are to be enclosed (i) to (viii) as under :
(i) Proof of date of birth (Matriculation/S.S.C. Exam. Certificate in Original with one attested Xerox copiy)
(ii) Degree/Provisional Degree (Original + 1 attested Xerox copy)
(iii) In case acquired higher qualification,Master Degree/Provisional Master Degree/Ph.D.degree certificate (Original with one Xerox copy)
(iv) Registration Fees of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty Five Only) and Service Charges Rs. 1000/- (And Rs. 150/- extra if Master Degree is to be Incorporated) By Bank demand Draft No. _________ Date. _______
(v) Provisional Registration Certificate.(Original).
(vi) Three passport size recent coloured photographs. One is pasted on
(vii) application form and duly attested by Gazetted Officer/Associate
(viii) Dean/Principal/Head of the institute. Two spare copies are enclosed in envelope.
(ix) Three passport size recent coloured photographs. One is pasted on application form and duly attested by Gazetted Officer/Associate Dean/Principal/Head of the institute. Two spare copies are enclosed in envelope.
(x) Oath duly signed.
(xi) Declaration duly signed
(xii) Undertaking duly signed

5. Form should be sent by Registered Post or should be handed-over personally in the Council’s Office during the working hours.
6. Prescribed fee should be sent by Demand draft payable at Nagpur in the name of the “REGISTRAR, MAHARASHTRA STATE VETERINARY COUNCIL, NAGPUR”. No cash or money orders will be accepted.
7. Original Certificates will be returned in due course of time after verification.
8. Pin-Code should be mentioned at the end of every address to facilitate the postal correspondence.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ On MSVC Registration

1) How long is my registration valid ?
5 years from the date of registration.
2) In whose name the Demand Draft for the payment should be issued ?
Registrar,Maharashtra State Veterinary Council,Nagpur.

3) Is it necessary to surrender the original registration certificate at the time of renewal?
Yes. It is necessary to surrender the original certificate at the time of renewal of registration along with requisite forms. To avoid its misuse it is cancelled and kept for record in the file of respective registered veterinary Practitioner. In case the registration certificate is not returned it attracts the penalty as per Section 58 of Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984.

4) My registration certificate is lost. What should I do ?
As per Maharashtra State Veterinary Council Rule,Rule 11(6) duplicate certificate can be issued on payment of requisite service charge and production of F.I.R. and an affidavit made to that effect.

5) I registered once. Is it necessary to renew registration ?
Yes. As per Section 48(1) of Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984, it is mandatory to renew registration after every 5 years.

6) I am holding “Doctor of Veterinary Medicine” from Ross University,USA. Can I get registration in Maharashtra State Veterinary Council ?
No. All the degrees related to Veterinary Science from foreign Universities are not included in Schedule (2) of I.V.C.Act. As per Section 16(2)(e) Central Government may by notification include these degrees in the official Gazette. And one should be resident of the State of Maharashtra.

1. I have paid the required fess & the original certificate of registration have been submitted at your office that to before the deadline date. But still, I don’t know about the status of renewal of my registration. So please convey me at the earliest.

2. I have applied for renewal of my MMC registration on 24.7.2017. My application number is MMC201765952. It is more than, 1 month since submission. I haven’t received any mail from MMC. Kindly inform me regarding the status of my application.

Functions of Maharashtra State Veterinary Council

The Maharashtra State Veterinary Council (MSVC) is a statutory body established under the Maharashtra Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1971. The MSVC is responsible for regulating the practice of veterinary medicine in the state of Maharashtra.

The MSVC has the following functions:
** To register veterinary practitioners in the state
** To issue practicing certificates to registered veterinary practitioners
** To conduct examinations for the award of the degree of Veterinary Surgeon
** To maintain a register of veterinary practitioners
** To investigate complaints against veterinary practitioners
** To take disciplinary action against veterinary practitioners who violate the provisions of the Act
** To promote the welfare of veterinary practitioners

The MSVC is headed by a President, who is assisted by a Vice-President and a Secretary. The MSVC has a Governing Body, which is composed of representatives of veterinary practitioners, the government, and the public.
