How to Apply for Training at Craft Centre :
For the upliftment of Weavers and Artisans working under unorganized sector in rural and urban area, Department of Textile and Handicrafts provides training to increase their productivity.

1. Name of the Service : Training & Production to the Weavers & Artisans through Craft Centre.
2. Why it is necessary : This scheme has been implemented for the upliftment of Weavers & Artisans Working under unorganized sector in rural & urban area for their self Employment.
3. Concerned Department : Department of Textile & Handicrafts.
4. Eligibility to apply for this service : Schedule Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.
5. Procedure to apply for this service : An applicant has to be physically approach the District Officer of Textile and Handicrafts Department of the concerned District.
6. Necessary documents required : The documents required for getting this service are as enlisted below:
(i) Plain Application with Bio-date (II) Schedule Tribe Certificate.
7. Fees to be deposited : No fee is required for this service, the trainees get stipend @ Rs. 550/- p.m.
8. Period of delivery : 1 year to 3 years depending on different type of Trade like Weaving, Knitting, Cane & Bamboo, Carpentry, Painting, Wood Curving etc.
9. Sanctioning authority with address.
10. Whom to register grievances/ appeal : District Officer, Textile & Handicrafts Department. Director, Directorate of Textile & Handicrafts.

New Industrial Policy of Arunachal Pradesh :
Arunachal Pradesh is the largest state among the North Eastern States, having an area of 83743 Sq Km, with a population pf just above 1 million.
Through it has successfully launched various socio-economic development programmes and though the literacy rate has also been rising, industrial activity is insignificant. Hence, the need for a well-defined Industrial policy.
Agricultural Policy :
Arunachal Pradesh is slowly developing its economy with the objective of improving the quality of life of its people. The task ahead are up hill, the resources available are plenty but the ways and means to achieve the objective through gainful utilization of the resources are not well defined.
