Apply For Common Law Admission Test

The CLAT 2015 Online Application Form will be accessible on the CLAT website clat.ac.in) between 1st January, 2015 to 31st March, 2015 along-with the Information Brochure. No hard copy of the Application Form and Information Brochure will be sold.

CLAT 2015 Information Brochure (not the application form) will also be accessible from the respective website of all the participating NLU(s).

Mode of Payment Through CLAT 2015 Website
A candidate will have to make payment on three occasions through CLAT website viz,
** submitting the Online Application Form
** if interested in downloading the Previous Year’s Question papers and
** while participating in the counseling session.
** A candidate will have to make online/offline payment through CLAT website.

CLAT Application Fee

** For Unreserved/OBC/PWD and other category candidates : Rs. 4000/- (Non refundable / non adjustable)
** For SC/ST category candidates : Rs. 3500/- (Non refundable / non adjustable)
** The above application fee includes cost of online application form and e-brochure.
** Previous year e-Question Papers of CLAT shall be available on the payment of Rs. 250/- only (Non refundable / non adjustable) . For this the mode of payment is Online only.

Mode of Application :
** There is only one mode of application i.e. online which can be accessed by a candidate after registering himself/herself on the CLAT website by creating a LOGIN ACCOUNT. The Online Application Form can be submitted only between 1st January, 2015 to 31st March, 2015 (11 :59 P.M.). The submitted Online Application Form in PDF format and other details will be available and accessible in the LOGIN ACCOUNT of the candidate.
** No copies of the filled in Online Application Form or uploaded certificates/documents need to be sent to the CLAT Office separately .

Documents To Be Uploaded During Online Application
** The scanned copies of the documents to be uploaded in the PDF/jpg format by all the candidates are :
** Disability Certificate (Persons With Disability, P.W.D.)
** Special Category certificate like E.B.C.; B.C.; W.B.C.; D.F.F.; S.E.B.C.; Ancestral residents of village Sidhuwal, District Patiala; Son / Daughter of Defense Personnel Deployed in U.P. or Defense Personnel of U.P. either retired or killed/ disabled in action; Dependant of Freedom Fighter of U.P. and Kashmiri Migrant.
** Certificates in support of one’s claim for NRI/NRI Sponsored Candidate.
** Domicile Certificate in support of one’s claim for consideration under State Quota

procedure for admission which shall be adopted by CLAT Office after declaration of result for admission is as follows :
Step 1 :
Publication of first indicative list based on merit cum preference The University-wise First Indicative List based on merit-cum-preference will be published on CLAT website.

Step 2 :
Payment of counselling fee and exercising of option by provisionally selected candidates :
** A specified number of candidates from various categories will be allowed to participate in the counselling process against actual number of seats available with participating NLUs.
** The provisionally selected candidates must deposit the requisite counselling fee of Rs. 50,000/- with CLAT-2017 Office.

** The adjustable counselling fee of Rs. 50,000/- deposited with the CLAT office will be transferred to the respective participating NLUs where the candidate has finally taken admission after the completion of the entire admission process.

** The candidates failing to deposit the requisite counselling fee through the CLAT website by the specified date will lose their right to be considered for admission under CLAT-2017 and their names will be dropped from the CLAT-2017 merit list.

** The candidates have to reserve their seats after paying the counselling fee by the above said procedure prescribed in counselling guidelines given on the CLAT-2017 website.

What is CLAT?
CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by the National Law University Consortium for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in India.

Who can apply for CLAT?
Any Indian citizen who has passed class 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board in India or abroad is eligible to apply for CLAT. Candidates who have passed their 12th exam in 2022 or in 2023 or those who are appearing in their 12th exam in 2023 can apply for CLAT UG 2023. There is no upper age limit for applying for CLAT UG 2023.
