How To Check ICE Gate IE Code/BIN Status?

For Non EDI Locations :
To facilitate trade and to avoid separate registration of importers and exporters at various custom houses under the Indian Customs EDI system, Customs & DGFT have established connectivity.

To track the status of IE code registration, please click the following IE code registrations from the various offices of DGFT to various automatic customs location :

1. PAN Based IE code is generated by DGFT offices located all over the country and is aggregated at DGFT headquarters. To check whether your IE code has reached DGFT head quarters and the correctness of your IE code details, Click IE Code AT DGFT button. IE Code AT DGFT

2. From the DGFT HQ, the data comes to customs ICEGATE. For the status and correctness of your IE code at customs ICEGATE location, please enter the IE code in the textbox and Click IE Code AT ICEGATE button.

FAQ On ICEGATE

Q1) Why Do I need to register at ICEGATE?
One can not file the documents online without being registered. Thus, in order to enable for filling online Shipping Bills and Bill of Entries and other documents one is required to have a registered ICEGATE ID.

Following are the few benefits of registration at ICEGATE :
a) Once registered at the icegate, the ICEGATE ID is used to file all documents online.
b) Can see the status of his jobs online via document tracking system.

c) Get’s the positive or negative acknowledgement along with SB & BE numbers of his jobs on his registered email id.
d) Query and Query reply

Though Incoming file accepted from any mail id and acknowledgement given on the same, but outbound response for the files such as Query and Query reply is sent only to the e-mail registered and available in the ICEGATE Database.

Q3) How do I get registered at ICEGATE?
Registration is a simple process; you need to log on to ICEGATE website and click on the registration link on the home page or follow the link services register and fill up the registration form providing all the details required in the same.

Q4) For what all transaction type I can get registered for?
You can get registered for following types of transaction at ICEGATE.
a) Exports
b) Imports
c) IGM
d) EGM
e) Consol Manifest.

There are a few other transactions such as Query Reply and amendments to the BE and SB which also can be done through ICEGATE. For other transaction types, check the transaction type box in the registration page.

Q5) For what all Customs Ports I can get registered?
Users can get registered for all the above-referred transactions at all the EDI Customs Ports with a single registration at the ICEGATE, for list of ports check the customs locations box on registration page.

About Us:

ICEGATE stands for the Indian Customs Electronic Commerce/Electronic Data interchangae (EC/EDI) Gateway. ICEGATE is a portal that provides e-filing services to the trade and cargo carriers and other clients of Customs Department (collectively called Trading Partner). At present, about 24000 users are registered with ICEGATE who are serving about 6.72 lacs importer/exporter.ICEGATE links about 15/broad types partners with Customs EDI through message exchanges enabling faster Customs clearance and in turn facilitating EXIM Trade.

ICEGATE is an infrastructure project that fulfils the department’s EC/EDI and data communication requirements. Through this facility the department offers a host of services, including electronic filing of the Bill of Entry( import goods declaration), Shipping Bills (export goods declaration) and related electronic messages between Customs and the Trading Partners using communication facilities (E-mail, Web-upload & FTP) using the communication protocols commonly used on the internet.

Functions of ICE Gate

ICEGATE stands for Indian Customs Electronic Gateway. It is a web-based platform that allows trading partners to interact with the Indian Customs department.

ICEGATE offers a variety of services, including:
** Electronic filing of import and export documents: ICEGATE allows trading partners to electronically file import and export documents, such as bills of entry, shipping bills, and manifests. This eliminates the need to physically submit documents to customs offices, which saves time and money.
** Payment of customs duties: ICEGATE allows trading partners to electronically pay customs duties. This can be done using a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and net banking.
** Tracking of shipments: ICEGATE allows trading partners to track the status of their shipments. This includes information on when the shipment was imported or exported, as well as its current location.
** Obtaining clearances: ICEGATE allows trading partners to obtain clearances from customs for their shipments. This includes information on the type of clearance required, as well as the documents that need to be submitted.
** Complaints: ICEGATE allows trading partners to file complaints with customs. This includes information on the nature of the complaint, as well as the evidence that is being submitted.
