Any person willing to venture into exports of Handmade Carpets, Knotted Carpets, Rugs, Floor-Coverings and in other allied products can become a member of Carpet Council.

The prospective members are required to submit their application as per the prescribed application form. The membership form can be downloaded from the Carpet Website, or from the offices of the Councils from New Delhi, Bhadohi etc.
The Amount of membership (April –March) fees payable in favour of “CARPET EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL” Payable at New Delhi.

As per the Rules and Regulations laid down in the Articles of Memorandum and Association of Carpet Export Promotion Council, Membership of the Council is a “pre-condition” for Registration.
The Registration can be obtained by you either as a ‘Merchant Exporter’ or ‘Manufacturer Exporter’, as per documents submitted.
While submitting the application with required documents, you are required to clearly mention that you are interested in becoming member, in either of the categories, or all as under :
a) Membership;
b) Registration as a “Merchant Exporter”;
c) Registration as a “Manufacturer Exporter”;
Please note only the fees of membership is to be paid, even if you are interested for other two categories in addition to membership. In case you have not indicated your specific preference, you will be issued the membership only.
Documents to be enclosed with the application form :
1. In case of “Manufacturer Exporters” proof of manufacturing products {self attested copy of DIC Certificate} for the products, for which Registration sought for;
2. A certificate from a Chartered Accountant, certifying product wise / HS Code wise export performance during the preceding year (last year), in case of New Member/exporters, a copy of export order/proof of export;
3. For New Members, a Demand Draft for Rs. 4000/- plus Service Tax @ 15% extra (Rs. 2000.00 entrance fees plus Rs . 2000/- by a demand draft infavour of Carpet Export Promotion Council, payable at New Delhi
4. An affidavit on a Non-judicial paper of Rs.10/-duly certified by Notary Public to the effect that neither the Applicant Firm nor any of its Partners/Directors/or Proprietors has ever been blacklisted by any Govt. agency;
5. An affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.10/-duly certified by the “Notary Public” that the firm will abide by the Code of Conduct of the Carpet Export Promotion Council regarding not usage of Child Labour in Carpet manufacturing;
6. An affidavit on a Non-judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.10/-duly attested by Notary Public giving an undertaking that none of the Partners / Proprietor / Directors are associated with any other firm / Company, as a Partners /Proprietor/ Directors who have not paid Child Welfare Fund to the Council @ 0.25% of the FOB value of their export for the years 1995-1996 & 1996-1997;
7. A self attested photocopy of the Partnership Deed or Memorandum and Articles of Association in case of Limited companies;
8. A self certified copy of the IEC number issued by the concerned licensing authorities;
9. A self certified copy of the Income Tax Permanent Account No. (PAN);
NOTE : Please ensure that the above documents are complete and forms are duly filled in, signed and stamped in all respect, to avoid any delay in issuance of RCMC;
Every year Membership Fee is due as on 1st April and payment to be paid latest by 31st May of each year for existing members;
In case any Member fails to pay the Annual Membership Subscription in time i.e. upto 31st May, they shall be liable to pay the membership with late fee @ Rs. 500/- upto 30th Sept;

** Invitation of participation in Overseas Trade Fairs;
** Invitation of participation in Buyer Seller Meets;
** Invitation of participation in CEPC’s Flagship Fairs : India Carpet Expos (twice a year);
** Invitation of participation in Craft : Festivals of India organized overseas;
** Invitation for participation in International Expos on Product Specific Fairs organized by the Council;
** Invitation for participation in DOMOTEX Fairs world over, especially – Domotex Hannover, Domotex – AsiaChina, Domotex – Turkey; Domotex Russia and elsewhere;
** Invitation for participation in short terms Training Programmes;
** Invitation for participation in Long Term Training Progrmmes to train over and above 5000 new trainees, under HRD Scheme for imparting Technical Trainings for Hand-Tufted and Hand-Knotted Carpets in Bhadohi-Mirzapur Clusters;
** Invitation for participation in Shilpi Haat / Dilli Haat / Urban Haats / Mini Carpet Melas to be organized by the Councils under the aegis of DCH, GOI;
