Online Coal Clearances System :

Ministry of Coal has developed Online Coal Clearances System to provide a single window access to its investors to submit online applications for all the permissions / clearances and approvals granted by Ministry of Coal.

The applicants can online submit their applications, view status of their applications, submit various documents required by Ministry and submit the periodic status of activities.

This online portal provides a platform to all its stakeholders to improve the communication among eachother in order to enhance efficiency and bring transparency.

Services :
It will provide the following services. To Access these service first you have to login . Acquisition of Land Containing Coal Deposits by Government for coal Mining under CBA Act 1957

** Grant of Prospecting License for allocated Coal Block
** Approval of Mining Plans/Mine Closure Plans
** Grant of Mining Lease for allocated Coal Block
** Coal Mine Opening Permission

Land Acquisition System :
Land Acquisition Monitoring System has been developed to facilitate the Government PSUs to online apply for Land Acquisition under Coal Bearing Area Act,1957 under section 4(1), 7(1), 9(1) and 11(1) and Ministry users to examine the applications, varify and accept and forward the accepted applications to Ministry of Law for their approval.

Under the provision of the Act, initially Government declares its intention to do exploration/ prospecting through a notification under Section 4(1).

Subsequently on completion of prospecting, by notification under Section 7(1) of the CBA Act, the Government declares its intention to acquire the land. After the notification is issued under Section 7(1), Ministry invites objections, if any, from private land owners/ State Governments.

On the disposal of objections, if any, filed by interested persons (land owners), by the Coal Controller’s Office, the Government issues notification under Section 9(1) for acquiring the land.Rights and titles of the land are transferred to Coal PSUs / Govt. Company by notification under Section 11(1) of the CBA (A&D) Act, 1957. All notifications are issued by the Ministry
