Information :
Remuneration payable to Nodal officer of the institution for uploading the data on AISHE portal is taxable income.

For the purpose of deduction of income tax, in future, while furnishing their account details, all nodal officers are requested to include their Personal PAN details and not of Trust, Society, Firm etc.

What is AISHE?

To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Human Resource Development has endeavoured to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11.

The survey covers all the Institutions in the country engaged in imparting of higher education. Data is being collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, education finance, infrastructure.

Indicators of educational development such as Institution Density, Gross Enrolment Ratio, Pupil-teacher ratio, Gender Parity Index, Per Student Expenditure will also be calculated from the data collected through AISHE.

These are useful in making informed policy decisions and research for development of education sector

Common Problems In Using AISHE Portal :
General Error Message In Login :
1. “User id unapproved” (User is unapproved. It can be checked from the State Nodal Officer)
2. “Invalid UserId or Password” (User is not entering correct user id or password)
3. “Invalid Captcha Code” (Captcha code is not entered correctly)

General Error Message In Getting Check Form Passed :
1. “Mandatory field – Please enter appropriate value” (Various mandatory columns are left blank (Particularly teaching/ non teaching staff and student enrolment))

2. “Row …. is repeated” (Designation is repeated in same Department)
3. “……………..Programme is not included in any of the Regional Centers” (Some Programme listed in Distance Mode is not covered in any of the Regional Center)
