Tips and Tricks :
** If you are a Section 25 Company (not paying dividend), you can apply for SIRO recognition for taking benefits u/s 35(I)(ii) of the IT act, custom duty and central excise duty exemption benefits.
Trust / Societies of non-governmental and governmental nature having/seeking IT exemptions u/s 35(I)(ii) or u/s 35(I)(iii) of the IT act can apply for SIRO recognition.
** Companies including service organisations (factories established with profit motive and income distribution) can apply for In-house R&D recognition.
** Public funded research institutions like IIT, Universities, NITs, Government laboratories seeking registration with DSIR for availing custom and excise duty exemption benefits can apply under PFRI scheme.
** Weighted tax deduction u/s 35(2AB) of IT Act 1961 on In-house R&D expenditure for any company engaged in the business of manufacture or production of any article or thing not being an article or thing specified in the list of eleventh schedule of IT act having R&D facility approved by Secretary, DSIR.
