About Us:
e-Pension is an initiative of Directorate of Pension,Provident fund and Group Insurance,Finance Department, Govt. of West Bengal to extend the benefit of e -governance to the pensioners of recognized Non Govt. aided educational institutions with provision of extending it to the other pensioners such as Panchayat, Municipality etc. in future.
The aim is to bring a positive deviation from the present system by minimizing the physical movement of files and papers to minimize the processing time and also to bring transparency in the whole system to make tracking and retrieval of records more effectively.
The initiative is also to make the involved officials’ more responsible, to make grievance redressal more effectively,so that the benefit of the e -governance reaches to the pensioners in due course of time.
FAQ On WB Pension
1. How can I get my User id and Password?
When ‘DPPG Admin’ creates your User Id you will receive your User Id and One Time Password (OTP) through SMS on your mobile number.
2. What is the login procedure?
In the e-Pension portal, click on LOGIN tab on menu bar. Select DPPG LOGIN from the drop down list. The login page will be opened.
Enter login ID, password and capcha. Click on the LOGIN button. After successful first login, you will need to change your password.
3. Whether I have to complete the whole procedure of audit work in single session?
No, you can audit up to a certain level in a particular session, save and complete the rest in the following sessions.
4. How can I change my password?
You can change your own password by Selecting ‘Reset Password’ under ‘My Account’ in the main menu bar. Enter ‘Old Password’ first, then the ‘New Password’. Please re-enter the new password against ‘Confirm Password’. Click on ‘Save’.
5. How the pension cases will be allotted to me?
The pension cases will be received in soft copy only through system at DPPG and the same will be allotted to the first audit level of the each audit cell automatically by the system.
6. Do I need to do any paper work while processing a pension case in this system?
No, you will not need to do any paper work. Under this system the whole work is to be done online.
7. Do I need to have Digital Signature Certificate for processing the pension case in this system?
No, you will not need to have Digital Signature Certificate for processing and forwarding the pension case.
8. If the pension case is incomplete or faulty what I will do?
If you found the pension case incomplete or faulty at the time of processing you can write your observations against respective point in the ‘Check List.’
If your observations are not covered in any of the points in check list, you can write the same against special comments.

I am Samir Roy Chowdhury of Basunagar High School, Kolkata. I got retired as assistant teacher on 30.11.17 on superannuation. My application for pension is seen to be waiting at the APPROVE (DPPG) LEVEL after passing 1st,2nd and 3rd levels without any objection. If not more, I am running under acute financial crisis. May I be favoured with expeditious disposal of my pension file.
I will retire on 31/01/2018. I have not yet received the PPO. Now I want to know the status of my pension. Please inform me when I will receive my PPO & oblige.
