General Instructions :
There are vacancies in the following categories in various districts :
** General Surgeon

** Pediatrician
** Gynaecologist
** Anesthetics
The vacancies are in various PHC (Primary Heath Centres) of the districts. The qualification for applying for these posts is as follows :
** MBBS
** MBBS + PG
** MBBS doctors can also apply against a vacancy of a specialist. In case no specialist has applied for the concerned vacancy, the MBBS doctor shall be considered for appointment.
** candidates shall be given preference on the post of Gynaecologists if she has requisite qualification.
** All applications received in the District Health Society will be served on First Come First Served basis.
Steps to Apply :
Step 1 :
Select Doctor Type and Click on “List Records”, you will get the latest Vacancy Available (VA) & Number of Applicants (NOA) applied online till date for all the districts in various categories.
Step 2 :
If the vacancy is available for any particular Post, that block will be marked Green otherwise Red.
Step 3 :
Click on the “No. of Vacancy” in the Green Block next to District Name to Proceed.
Note :
The registration applicants can also submit there application to Civil Surgeon/ACMO/DPM of the concenred district in person.

About Us :
The state health society, Bihar has been established to guide its functionaries towards Receiving, managing (including disbursement to implementing agencies e.g. Directorate, of Medical & Public Health District Societies, NGOs etc.) and account for the funds received from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Its resources will manage the NGO / PPP (Public-Private partnership) components of the NRHM in the state including execution of contracts, disbursement of funds and monitoring of performance.
Salient Outcome :
Number of Patients visiting the Health Centers has increased from a meager 39 per month per centre in Jan 2006 to more than 4000 per Center per Month in November 2008.
(a) Demand for better Health Services generated among the rural population.
(b) No. of Institutional Delivery 10,000 in Jan. 2007 to more than 1,00,000 in Jan. 2008.
(c)No. of Family Planning operations approx. 13,000 in Jan. 2007 to more than 80000 in Jan. 2008.
(d)The percentage of RI was 18 in the year 2005, which has increased to 32.8 % as per NFHS III (2006-06) and to 51.8 % in 2008 as per evaluated coverage by a third party.
