Who can be a Registrar?
“Registrar” is any entity authorized or recognized by the Authority for the purpose of enrolling the individuals for UID numbers.

Registrars are typically departments or agencies of the State Government/Union territory, public sector undertakings and other agencies and organizations who interact with residents, in the normal course of implementation of some of their programs, activities or operations. Examples of such Registrars are Rural Development Department (for NREGS) or Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (for TPDS), insurance companies such as Life Insurance Corporation and Banks.
How to be a Registrar? :
At this stage, the UIDAI has primarily engaged with state governments, central ministries and public sector organizations. The UIDAI has entered into MoU’s with State Governments/Union Territories and they define the specific departments they would like to appoint to roll out the project.
Training :
UIDAI has a detailed strategy for making training available for all the interested stakeholders. To achieve efficient training, UIDAI has developed complete training content by CMC Ltd with the assistance of subject matter experts from the Technology Team, Project Management Unit (PMU) and other senior officials at UIDAI. The content is updated from time to time to incorporate changes in Aadhhar systems and processes. To enable greater dissemination of training content, the training content has been made available in this website. The training content has been posted on this website for reference and guidance for training agencies, registrars, enroling agencies etc.

Training Film :
Film based training is a proven methodology to train the frontline staff effectively. UIDAI has developed 2 training films to train the operators/supervisors and residents. A training module has also been developed around the operator’s film, which may be used by any trainer interacting with the operators/supervisors. Till today so many people are not enrolled. Not many places are there as Aadhar centres. Please give list of some centers.
