2) Stamp Duty and Registration Fee should be paid online through GRAS
eRegistration
The module is developed and made available by the Department of Stamps and Registration. It provides facility of online registration of Leave and License Agreement to citizen.
Citizen can,
1) Prepare the agreement

5) Modify if required
6) Get the status of registration through SMS
7) Execute (sign) it
All these activities can be performed from anywhere anytime, without going physically to Sub Registrar Office.

1. How can I change the password?
You can change the password using Change Password Link.
2. What should be the format of Pan number?
Pan no must contain 10 chars, XXXXX9999X where X is an alphabatic character and 9 is a numeric digit.
3. What should be the format of Bank Passbook?
Bank passbook shoud be 15-Digit Account Number.
4. What should be the format of aadhar card (UID)?
Aadhar card is a 12 digit identification number.
5. What should be the format of Licence?
Licence should consist of 5 letters, 6 numbers and then a combination of numbers and letters.
6. What should be the format of Passport number?
Passport numbers are 9 digits with no letters.
7. How to modify a Token?
Login with your username and password, enter your token number in “Modify Draft Token” field and press enter.
8. What should be the format for GRN number?
GRN number must contain 18 chars, XX999999999999999X where X is an alphabetic character and 9 is a numeric digit.
Functions of IGR Maharashtra
The Inspector General of Registration (IGR) is the head of the Registration and Stamps Department in Maharashtra.
The IGR is responsible for the following functions:
** Registration of documents: The IGR is responsible for the registration of all documents that are required to be registered under the Registration Act, 1908. This includes documents such as sale deeds, gift deeds, lease deeds, wills, and powers of attorney.
** Collection of stamp duty: The IGR is responsible for the collection of stamp duty on all documents that are required to be registered under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. Stamp duty is a tax that is levied on documents that are considered to be of value.
** Maintenance of records: The IGR is responsible for the maintenance of records of all documents that are registered under the Registration Act, 1908. These records are kept in the Sub-Registrar’s offices across the state.
** Providing information and assistance: The IGR is responsible for providing information and assistance to the public regarding the registration of documents and the payment of stamp duty. The IGR also provides training to the staff of the Sub-Registrar’s offices.
** Enforcing the law: The IGR is responsible for enforcing the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 and the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. The IGR has the power to take action against those who violate the provisions of these Acts.
