Medical Assistance :
Eligibility :
Assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is given to :
** Distressed patients who are unable to bear the cost of treatment.
** Patients who are not eligible to get benefit of Employees State Insurance Scheme or get reimbursement from employer/organization.
** Patients can avail the assistance only once for the same case in one financial year.
** This Facility is applicable for Permanent residents of the State of West Bengal

How to Apply :
People who seek financial assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund may send their signed application on plain paper along with all related documents to :

Sanction & Disbursement

Applications for sanction of financial assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund are processed and examined By the CMRF Cell of Chief Minister’s Office. The application may be sent to District Magistrate or Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, as the case may be, for enquiry.Hon’ble Chief Minister, West Bengal sanctions financial assistance from the fund to partially defray the expenses of treatment.The financial assistance sanctioned is a one-time grant only. Generally the sanctioned amount is directly forwarded to the concerned hospital/institute as per their advice.The particulars of sanction of assistance will be posted on the website[wbcm.gov.in] as soon as possible so that the patients could readily know about the status of their application.

Educational Assistance :
Eligibility :
Assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund is given to the student :
** Who is a permanent resident of the State of West Bengal.
** Who is studying in any institutions of the State after passing out the State Board /Council of Secondary Education or a State aided University in West Bengal.
** Who has got 65% marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Examination [for H.S. level] or 60% in aggregate in H.S. Examination [ for U.G. level] or 55% Marks in the Honours Subject [for P.G. level]

  • In case of institute verification form for P.G. course students,is the signature and seal of Registrar sir allowed? or is the sign.and seal of V.C.sir required?

    • I passed Madhyamik Examination in 2015 with 80.85%(65% above) marks in aggregate. To get this scholarship,I applied for this on 12.06.2015. But yet I could not get any assist from your end. I want to know whether I am eligible or not, if I am not eligible for the scheme,please let me know the reason for that. Please do some thing for this needy student.
