About Us :
Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is one of the two Departments under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. It was constituted as a separate Department in June 1997 as it was considered necessary to have a separate Department to give a fillip to the nascent consumer in the country

1. I am a retired pensioner from ESIC and am a beneficiary of ESI Medical scheme. I had deposited Rs.40000/- for availing the full medical care. I have been submitting my Medical Claims for reimbursement to ESIC, Regional Office Dehradun and few of them have been paid. However, one of my bills dated 29/06/2015 even after my constant follow up with authorities but to no avail.

2. I have some complaint regarding the monthly bill of BSNL landline. My land line is not working for the last more than 4 years, the department has never bothered to rectify the fault and still today. My landline is not functioning but they keep sending the bill with huge accumulated amount which is not feasible to pay.

3. Now Motorola and Lenovo is merged and parent company is Lenovo. I also purchased a Lenovo K5 note phone dated 04th Oct 2016 from flipkart site. After few days, I faced the problem and contact service center. Lenovo already replaced motherboard 4 times, but issue is not yet resolved.

2. Mobile switch on and off, without any reason.

I also contact the MD of Lenovo service, but no answer. Please help me if you find any help.

  • I lived in Tamil Nadu, Thiruvannamalai District, Vembakkam Taluk, Kundiyanthandalam Village. I have cultivated Punja Anatheenam Land nearly about 1.50 acres out of 2.76 acres more than 45 years. I have applied an application for Patta from 1982 onwards. Till date Revenue Department is not given assignment for me. I approached to the Revenue officials directly and through petition. I request kindly advise to get Patta for the above land please. I am eagerly waiting for your reply.

  • I have purchased MOTO G PLUS4th GEN(black,32 GB )online from amazon on 13.08.2016. After 20 days of delivery I face lots of problem to operate the phone like power off,hang etc and on 10.09.2016 I talk to customer care of MOTO co and they suggested me to check whether the phone is from authorized service centre.

    And on same day 10.09.2016 I visited the service centre and they said to me to han over the phone for one week to replace some defective part and from 10.09.2016 till to day I am talk to customer care of company as well as service centre over 100 times. They both reply that they do not have required part in their stock. Now I am totally confused as what can I do and I request to all of you as don't buy motorola lenovo phones in future because they don't have proper sale service.

  • I had purchased one micromax tv from M/s Jwel Archid, 120/343 Lajpatnagar, Kanpur city on 8-3-2016. This TV found defective then I sent my complaint to Micromax company on 9/4/2016. I have sent many complaints through phones and registered letters but till today after repeated request the dealer of micromax did not give me replacement nor given any reply in this regard. Please do the needful action in this regard. My address is 6MIG-1 Jarauli -2,Kanpur nagar208027.

  • I had taken a postpaid SIM connection with Aircel with the base plan of Rs.399/-@ CHENNAI on 5th of April 2016,on a visit to Chennai in a promotional Campaign. The PLAN IS 600 CALLS AND ONE GB DATA. THE COMPANY SENT ME A BILL AMOUNTING TO RS.700/-without any details. Upon requesting the details of the bill from the customer care- there was no response. Mean a while,the outgoing bill were blocked since 16th May 2016. On repeated queries by mails with the company they sent a letter calling me as valued customer and asked me to pay VAS charges of Rs.112 in addition to basic charges of Rs.399/-. I had remitted the amount- Rs.571/ by way of cheque @Nagercoil,even though I never used any of their VAS service. Even after remitting the amount and disconnecting the line the company is sending month on month bills. They are sending legal demand notice by mails to pay a further amount of Rs.659/-. We have sent a detailed mail to their legal department's mail id and customer care regarding our case. We used to get remainder calls even during night from them demanding the said payment. In spite of our reply mails and explaining them all details,they threaten us that would initiate legal proceedings and CIBIL updates would be done soon, AS THOUGH WE ARE AT FAULT. As a consumer we are helpless as they are showing their corporate might. As a consumer we feel this forum would help us and relieve from the mental agony.

    This crook by the name MONALI HAZARIKA also Monali Lunna has been cheating persons all over Delhi and Assam. She is actually from Dibrugarh, Assam. She is showing fake documents, FAKE LMO/LMIA and also using names of some genuine immigration company in Canada which has nothing to do with her or her company. She took my hard earned money to help me with the immigration to Canada. We paid our initial payment of INR 150000/- but after this she disappeared. I have been calling her continuously but with no result.

  • I am a policy holder of SBI Life Insurance co.,Under the scheme of Shub Nivesh, with policy no.35007540502, I have paid 5 annual premium of Rs.175525 and was getting back after maturity only Rs.136961.I have never heard any company which is taking one year premium for life coverage.I was cheated, that was I felt. When I asked through IRDAI, I was directed to ask Client Relationship Head,Kapas Bhavan MUMBAI.I am fed up with sending complaints. In their last letter, I was insisted to send a letter again and that too within 6 weeks of time or else my complaint will be of no use. I clearly explained my financial status and pleading them to cancel my "life time coverage"which would not be useful to me anymore. For this they are telling that they should not deviate from the rules. I am running out almost in my financial position and I do not know how to get back my investment. How could the IRDAI frame the rule of Sum Assured is almost 32% of the investment. What can I do?

I registered a complaint on 13/1/2016 wide complaint number 648578 regarding Tamil Nadu Arasu cable TV corporation Chennai,through helpline number 1800114000,till date my problem has not rectified by the Tamil Nadu Arasu cable TV corporation and also your helpline number is not working.   • I have applied for plot loan in(sep 2015) from Aditya birla in Hyderabad, all supporting documents gets handover along with processing fee 5720/-. But till date no response from customer support, no reference no given to track the loan process, whenever call up to local office RM no proper response.
    After 3 month Adtiya Housing finance saying me, that on open plot no loan will approved from ABHF. In that case I ask for refund of my Processing amount .

    • I have booked a flat of 460 Sq.Ft on 09-03-2007 at Location Dahiyaki,Uttarakhand with Arun Dev Builders Ltd, Okhla , Phase-I, New Delhi and paid Rs.1,87,000/- for booking as well as monthly installment till Sept'2012. As per terms and condition, builder has to give the possession of the flat within 3 years. But, firm has started the project to show the customers and leave it in initial stage. It has come to my notice that firm is not making any progress in their project and is not in mood to complete the project and to give the possession of the flat. I have filed a case in Consumer Court in 2012. After a long time, court has given the order on 01st July 2015 to the builders to refund Rs.1,87,000/- with interest @ 9% p.a. within one month. But firm has not paid the amount. I given again an application in the Consumer Court for non compliance the order of Honorable Court. Honorable Court had given a letter to me for calling the builder in the Court which was sent to the Builder through speed post. As per details of post office, builder attempted the delivery and refused to receive it.
      A long time elapsed, but till date my amount has not returned by the Builder. Please tell me what to do to get my amount from builder. He is very fraud and asking to purchase a plot instead of flat on current rate against above amount.
