** The manufacturer producing the electronic goods is the applicant / factory.
** Manufacturer = Applicant = Factory
** In Form No.VI & VII, please write the name and complete postal address with contact numbers, fax numbers, e-mail address of the manufacturer, that is the applicant, producing the goods in factory. Form VI & VII should be signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the manufacturing unit OR by the authorized representative of the factory as authorized by CEO of the manufacturing unit / factory.

Process of registration of products for compliance with “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012” :

** Registration for self-declaration by the manufacturer is a simplified process of conformity assessment, which has been introduced, and is in addition to the existing system of licensing.

Guidelines For Filling- Up The Application Form for Registration Scheme For Electronics And Information Technology Goods (Requirements Of Compulsory Registration) Order :
General :
** Separate application for registration shall be required to be submitted for each product by a manufacturing unit producing goods (applicant). In case more model/design of product is required to be added, same can be included subsequently in existing registration certificate.
** The duly filled applica tion should be signed by the CEO of the manufacturing unit or by the representative authorized by him. Authorization letter duly signed by CEO of firm for authorized person (employee of manufacturing unit) shall be submitted.
** Ensure filling in com plete addresses of office and factory. Any change in the address(es) shall be immediately intimated to BIS with documents in support of new address(es).
** Clearly indicate related Indian Standard and its model(s) for which registration is sought.
** In case the information submitted by the applicant along with the application is found to be incorrect, at any time, the application is liable to be rejected.

Manufacturing Facilities :
The deta ils of manufacturing machinery & the activities being outsourced shall be highlighted with details of outsourcing.

Testing Facilities :
The details of test equipments as per prescribed format of application shall be furnished.
