How To Do Nursing Registration Renewal In Tamil Nadu?
Those who have already registered with the Tamilnadu Nursing Council shall renew their registration once in every five years.

Instructions:
1. Renewal of the Registration is compulsory from July 2013.
2. Before starting the registration for renewal process, please go through the demo carefully and make yourself comfortable to use the system.

3. Before starting the registration for renewal process, please scan the following documents and the size of the scanned the following original documents should not exceed 3MB (each) :
** Your RN / RM / ANM – MPHW / HV certificate.
** Your appointment order from the current employer (only if you are working)/attested copy of bonafide certifcate (if you are studying).
** Your Passport size photograph.
**Above all documents should be Image Format JPEG(*.jpg;* .jpeg;).
4 . After selecting the correct category, entering your TNNC number, your name will be displayed. Check the displayed name is correct. If it is showing some other people’s name, then you would have selected wrong category, select the correct category and re-try or contact 044 – 4352 4504.
5. You can make the payment either by online(Using credit card, NetBanking, Debit card) or by offline.
While making the payment using Debit Cards / Credit Cards, please note :
** Visa and Master Cards should be used.
** Please check whether the cards has the credit limit which is equal to the Online Renewal Fees + Service Charges
** Online renewal fee amount of Rs.350 + surcharges + service tax extra will be collected by the bank in addition to the amount of Online Renewal Fees.
6. For offline payments, please dont forget to print the Triplicate chellan generated in the system and pay Rs. 365/-(Renewal Fee Rs. 350/- + Bank Service Charge Rs. 15/-) in any of the Indian bank branches.
7. In the bank, counter staff will retain one counterfoil with them and return two counterfoils to you. Please retain both the copies with you. No need to send the counterfoil to Tamilnadu Nursing council.
8. Please dont forget to print the Acknowledgement receipt since the acknowledgement receipt number is needed for any further tracking.
9. Those who are using payment Offline (Challan) mode, please do the renewal of registration between 8 am to 8 pm only.

1. If my registration certificate returned to Council due to Postal Address Changed or any other reason How Can I get the registration Certificate ?
To get your returned registration Certificate you have to send a Demand draft of Rs.40/-(Rupees forty only) drawn in favour of Registrar, Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai-4 with a correct self addressed envelope. Or you can receive it in person from the Council with your ID Card as proof.
2. How do I get employment after registration?
Council is not an employment authority to provide you job, but whereas, it is a registration authority and to register your qualification obtained by the recognized examining bodies and make you to practice your profession in legal and safe manner by issuing Registration Number in par with your qualification.
3. I am a male Nurse. Why there is no two certificates for me?
For male Nurses, who has undergone Psychiatric Nursing, OTT or any other qualification in lieu of Midwifery is mentioned in the Nurse Registration Certificate itself. There is no provision in the act for Separate Certificate for the qualification done in lieu of Midifery.
4. I am a candidate trained in Armed Forces. How can I register and is there any special quota for Job Opportunity for me?
You have to register your qualification in any nursing council within India, then only your registration will be accepted by this Council. For job oppurtunities the council is not an employment authority.
5. How do we Obtain NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Council ?
NOC is a confidential process. It will be sent directly to the Registrar of any Nursing Council on his/her written request to register your qualification.

** Tamil Nadu Nurses And Midwives Council The Candidate who are registered from 1st July 2012 onwards, shall have their license valid for the next 5 years from the date of registration.

** The Candidate’s who are registered on or before 14th December 2018, shall check their License Status.

Answer:
You need to do the courses to get the 150 CNE hours. After that, you need to go to the Midwives office in person with all your certificates and have to register. During that time, you need to pay some amount for renewal as late fee.
