KSEB LT Bill Online Payment
An LT consumer can remit electricity charges in any of the following manner:
** Pay online using Net banking, Credit/ Debit cards. Click here to visit our LT online payment site

** By cash at the cash counter in concerned Electrical Section Office /collection centre.
** By crossed local cheque or Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Assistant Engineer and sent by post or presented in person.
** By MO payable to the Assistant Engineer.
** In FRIENDS collection centres /Akshaya e-pay counters where this facility is available (payments accepted in these centres only up to due date given in invoice).
KSEB LT Bill Online Payment – Instructions :
** Keep your latest Electricity Bill near by, before attempting the Payment.
** Select the Section.
** Enter Consumer number and Bill Number
** Where is my Section Code/Consumer Number/Bill Number-
** Enter the Email id and/or Mobile Number. Click Show Bill Details
** In the case of Central Server Sections number of Pending Regular Energy Bills
** For other sections, the last Regular Energy
** Select the desired mode of transaction – Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
** Balance amount in full, along with Surcharge applicable
** For Central Server Sections, Surcharge for belated payment will be intimated in the next Bill.
** Click Confirm Payment
** Finally, a confirmation screen with net transaciton amount will be shown.
** Click Make Payment
** User will be carried to Payment Gateway Site. Make secure payment.
** Once payment is completed, the transaction details will be displayed. User can take printout of the same.
** The details will be send to the given Email/Mobile also.
** In the case of Central Server Sections, the payment will be immediately effected in the concerned Section Offices.
** For other sections, it will be updated the next day.
However the date of payment will be the date of actual payment through Online portal. :
** Consumers can make payment of Regular Electricity Bills through Net Banking or Credit/Debit cards.
** Transaction charge will be deducted from Consumers account.

FAQ On KSEB
How can I apply for a new service connection?
New service connection application shall be made in prescribed Service Connection Application Form; the same application form can be used for obtaining permanent / temporary service connection or for re-effecting a dismantled service.

From where can I obtain service connection application form?
Service connection application form in English and Malayalam are available at a cost of Rs 10/- at Electrical Section, Division and Circle offices.
Can I use application forms downloaded from Internet?
No; for uniformity and for ensuring quality of the stationery it is insisted that application for service connection shall be made on the form purchased from KSEB offices. However the format of application is made available for information at web site
Is it compulsory that I should be the owner of the building / premise for obtaining a service connection in my name?
No, tenant / occupier of a premise also can avail service connections. In case the applicant is not the owner of the premise, security deposit at twice the normal rate has to be remitted.
Functions of KSEB
The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is a public sector undertaking under the Government of Kerala that generates, transmits and distributes electricity in the state under government monopoly. Established in 1957, the agency comes under the authority of the Department of Power.
The main functions of KSEB are:
** Generation of electricity: KSEB has a total installed capacity of 2823 MW, which is generated from a variety of sources, including hydroelectric, thermal, and renewable energy sources.
** Transmission of electricity: KSEB owns and operates a transmission network that spans over 10,404 kilometers. This network is used to transmit electricity from the generating stations to the distribution substations.
** Distribution of electricity: KSEB owns and operates a distribution network that spans over 272,480 kilometers. This network is used to distribute electricity to the consumers in the state.
** Customer services: KSEB provides a variety of customer services, such as bill collection, meter reading, and fault reporting.
** Renewable energy: KSEB is committed to promoting renewable energy sources. It has set a target of generating 20% of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2025.
