** Chhattisgarh Employment Service covers all the 27 districts in the state of chhattisgarh.

** It takes care of Day to day administration of the Employment Exchanges.
** As a part of administrative functioning, data are collected through 13 Employment Exchange Statistical Returns, each return covering a specific field of activity like registration, placement etc. with different periodicity.
** As a part of Employment Market Information Programme it takes care of the collection of data from the Organised Sector (all public sector establishments and all Non-agricultural private sector establishments with 10 or more workers) on employment, vacancies, occupational and educational pattern of employees etc. in ER-I and ER-II return prescribed under the Act.
Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification Of Vacancies) Act, 1959. :
Provides for compulsory notification of vacancies and submission of employment returns (ER-I and ER-II) by employers to the Employment Exchanges.
Applies to all establishments in the Public Sector and such establishments in the Private Sector as are engaged in non-agricultural activities and employing 25 or more workers.

Objectives and functions of the Employment Service :
(1) Registration of applicants seeking employment assistance
(2) Renewal of Registration
(3) Notification of notification of vacancies and appointment
(4) Aggregation of employment market information, analysis and inspection of employers’ records
(5) Business and guidance and employment counseling
(6) The responsibility of the nodal department in the distribution of unemployment allowance through local bodies
(7) Skills upgradation and self-employment oriented towards youth by short-term training programs
(8) Organizing employment fairs (for the employment of local youth in the private sector establishments)
Specific work done by the Employment Office :
Employment assistance has been provided to the unemployed applicants in the year 2009-10 by the state’s employment services, under which :
** More than 2.5 lakh new registrations are edited each year.
** Name of 14 thousand registered unemployed conveyed to employers per year.
** Appointment of one thousand unemployed every year through employment offices.
** Over 13 lakh registered applicants in the living register of the employment offices of the state.
** Business route philosophy every year for more than 55 thousand youth
About Us :
The employment services organization of the state provides employment assistance to the employment seekers. For this, 18 District Employment Exchanges are functioning in all districts and also for special training and guidance for scheduled caste / tribe applicants, is established as a teaching co-operation center in Jagdalpur.
In order to implement the provisions of CNV Act 1959, there is also an enforcement cell for the same purpose in the state. Employment seekers from this website can avail the employment, such as registration, renewal and eligibility growth, and employers can submit their returns and submit information about their institute through the link on this website.
