Get New Water Connection :
Any person who is the owner or authorized occupant of a land or a building where water supply facility is to be made available by the Public Health Engineering and Water Supply Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has to apply for new water connection. Water is provided to building or premises of the owners or consumers by different mode of connection i.e. pipe, hand pumps, tube well or well.

Eligibility to apply :
A person must have the following eligibility criteria to apply for new water supply :
** Any person who is the owner or authorized occupant of a land or a building where water supply facility is to be made available by the department are eligible to apply for new water connection.
** Any private land, required to be used for providing water connection, shall be settled by the consumer before starting the work.
** If any owner of a land or a building desires of shifting of any existing water supply pipe passing through his/her land or by the side of his/her building may apply in the same form for shifting.
Procedure to apply :
A person desires to get new water connection has to undergo the following procedures :
** The applicant has to apply for pipe water connection in the prescribed form by paying Rs. 1/- to the concerned Executive Engineer.
** After receiving the application form by the Executive Engineer with reference to the Serial No. of the form, inspection of the site is done.
** The estimation including the cost of material, wages of labour and Rs. 500/- being the connection fee is intimated to the applicant.
** The applicant has to deposit the estimated amount in the shape of Demand Draft on any National Bank.
** Pipe water connection shall be provided only after full receipt of payment in accordance with the estimated amount.
Conditions for applying :
** Water connection shall be provided with galvanized iron pipe of 15 millimeters diameter or 20 millimeters diameter medium quality.
** The water connection shall be provided to the ground floor or any other floor below the ground floor of any building only.
Necessary documents to be submitted :
While applying for new water connection, one has to submit the following documents :
** The prescribed form filled in all respect.

1. Form cost Re. 1/-
2. Connection fee Rs. 500/- (excluding material and wages of labour)
