Maharashtra Driving Licence Renewal
** An application for the renewal of a driving license is required to be made in Form 9 to the licensing authority which issued the driving license, accompanied by
a) appropriate fee as specified in CMVR 32;

b) three copies of the applicant’s recent passport size photograph, if renewal is to be made in Form 6,
c) the driving license
d) the medical certificate in Form 1-A if applicable.
** If the driving license is for both transport as well as non- transport category, then the licensing authority should, subject to the production of medical certificate, renew such license for the appropriate period, as specified in MVAS 14(
** If the licensing authority renewing the driving license is not the licensing authority which issued the driving license, the fact of renewal is required to be intimated to the licensing authority which issued the driving license,in Form LR.(MMVR 16(2)).
** Any licensing authority, on application made to it, may renew a driving license from the date of its expiry. (MVAS15)
** If the application for the renewal of a license is made more than thirty days after the date of its expiry, the driving license is required to be renewed with effect from the date of its renewal. (MVAS15)
** If the application is for the renewal of a license to drive a transport vehicle or if the applicant has attained the age of forty years, the same is required to be accompanied by a medical certificate. (MVAS)

** Medical Certificate in Form 1-A
** Three copies of applicants recent photographs
The driving licence is renewed with effect from the date of its expiry when the application is made before its expiry or within thirty days grace period. The driving licence is renewed with effect from the date of renewal when the application is made after the grace period.
If the licence is from other state it is desirable that the applicant should bring No Objection Certificate (N.O.C.) / confirmation of driving licence from Original Licensing Authority.
