What is Tamil Nadu House Reservation System?
The reservation of rooms in Tamil Nadu House is made by the Government in Public ( General – II ) Department, Secretariat, Chennai. Reservation is done through a software by name “ Hospitality Management System”.
An online application system has been introduced recently and requisition for accommodation has to be sent by the guests using the online application. This online application system is part of Tamil Nadu House’s website. In case of any difficulty in applying through the online system , the following alternate arrangement can be used for room reservation.

The requisition should contain details regarding the purpose of the visit (whether official or private), mobile number, email-id and copy of the identity proof. Reservations are finalized 24-48 hours before the date of accommodation. The confirmation message for allotment of accommodation, type of accommodation will be sent by SMS to the applicant’s mobile phone. Guests entitled for transport will receive an SMS with the Driver’s name and mobile number.

Tariff:
There are four types of tariff which are charged depending on the category of the guests and purpose of the visit.
The different types of tariff are:
Concessional :
Members of Tamil Nadu Legislature, Judges of Madras High Court, Officers of Government of Tamil Nadu, all IAS, IPS and IFS officers of Tamil Nadu cadre, officials of Tamil Nadu Government PSUs, Non-Officials serving as Chairman or Members of Committee/Boards or other organizations set up by Govt. of Tamil Nadu on official visits, Family members of Government Servants not exceeding 5 days each time twice in a year, Principal Accountant-General-I, Principal Accountant-General-II, Deputy Accountant-General (all three based at Chennai) on official visit, family members of State Guests not accompanying the State Guest, Guests of Governor, Vice Chairman and Members of Central Administrative Tribunal, Chennai on official visit, other persons visiting New Delhi on Tamil Nadu Government business with specific government orders are eligible for this rate.
Intermediate-I:
This is applicable to Retired officials of the Government of Tamil Nadu, Central Government officials posted in Tamil Nadu and sports persons visiting Delhi for specific events.
Intermediate-II:
This rate is applicable to officials from other States and Central Government officials posted outside Tamil Nadu (except officers of Tamil Nadu cadre).
Others :
Private persons and those who do not fall within the above three categories.

Note:
** The charges will be double the rates fixed for the respective Categories after 5 days of their stay unless there is a specific order from the Government
** Family includes wife, dependant Children (less than 18 years), dependant parents, with the total not exceeding 4 members including the guest.
** Full charges per day will be collected irrespective of the number of hours of stay.
