Internet and Wifi :
The University is having high speed 1 Gbps Internet connectivity from BSNL through National Knowledge Network (NKN), 100 Mbps from Railtel and 20 Mbps from Southern Online through wired as well as wifi through out the campus which includes one constituent college and academic/administrative units of JNTUH located In Hyderabad campus to cater the needs of the students and staff.

The Constituent Colleges located outside Hyderabad are also having good internet connectivity from various ISPs to meet the requirements of the students and staff.

Maintain University Internet service :
** First State Government University providing Wi-Fi facility for entire campus (Outdoor & Indoor APs).

** Point of Pride is Campus Networking and Internet Facility – both wired and wireless are taken by School of Information Technology
** University campus wide wired network was installed in 2003.

** Campus wide network for wireless access was installed
i. In 2011 with Aruba equipment – 3600 controller + 300 Aps
ii. In 2016 with Cisco equipment – 2405 controller + 13 Aps

** Maintain the Campus Network Backbone Connectivity and Internet Connectivity on 24×7 Basis for more than 4000 user devices.
** Facilitate and maintain email ids in university domain [AT] jntuh.ac.in to over 700 users.

Hostels :
All the constituent colleges/units of JNTUH have hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The Hostels are under the control of respective Principal / Director. One Hostel Manager for each College / unit and one Deputy Warden for each hostel are appointed from teaching faculty to take care of the students.

Student representatives are also involved in maintenance of the hostels. This year one girls’ hostel namely Gayatri Hostel was constructed in the main campus at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. Below are the details of the students’ hostels of constituent colleges/units.

About us :
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad was established on 2 October 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first–ever Technological University in the country. It has been in the forefront during the last forty four years in providing quality technical education of relevance in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

After 37 years of relentless service to the society at large, JNT University was restructured into four different Universities namely JNT University Hyderabad, JNT University Anantapur, JNT University Kakinada and JNFAU by the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide Government Order No. 13, dated 18 August 2008 and the Act of State Legislature No. 30, dated September 2008.

From then, this university was re-designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Hyderabad. The jurisdiction of the University is entire Telangana State.
