Duplicate Licence

A duplicate driving licence will be issued in the following circumstances
** When the licence is lost or destroyed
** When the licence is defaced or torn or completely written up

** When the photograph affixed to the licence requires replacement

Requirements :
** Application in Form – LLD
** Original licence written or defaced if available.
** Attested photocopies of DL if available in case of loss of licence.
** Fees as prescribed along with user charges

Get A Duplicate Driving Licence :
Requirements for Duplicate Driving Licence. :
** Form LLD – duly signed by the driving licence holder with two specimen signatures (to be filled in the office where the licence was last renewed).
** One recent passport size photograph.

Note :
The applicant is eligible to duplicate licence in case of original licence is Lost/Defaced/Torn

Note :
The licence should be issued with clear mark in Red as “DUPLICATE”.

Requirements for Renewal of Driving Licence :
** Form – 9 and written application for smart card
** Form –1 – Application-cum-Self declaration as to the physical fitness

** From -1A – Medical Certificate for Transport Vehicle category and also for persons who have age above 50 years for any category.
** Original Driving Licence

** Two recent passport size photographs
Note : If the applicant applied 5 years after the expiry the applicant needs to go for Retest (Test of Competency)

The Transport Department is primarily established for enforcement of the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1963 and the rules framed there under.
