What is DOAH Establish 12 Milch Animal Farm?
Establish 12 Milch Animal Farm is provided by Gujarat Directorate of Animal Husbandry (DOAH) for Livestock Owners. Encouraging livestock keepers to adopt animal husbandry as an independent business and to create a base for rural employment by promoting animal husbandry as a self-sustaining activity. Boosting the income of farmers through financial assistance and thereby aimed at accelerating rural economic growth. After obtaining loan approval for the purchase of 12 dairy animals from the Reserve Bank recognized institution/bank, application can be done through the I-khedut portal.

Beneficiaries of DOAH Establish 12 Milch Animal Farm
** All Livestock Owners
Assistance of DOAH Establish 12 Milch Animal Farm
** For the purchase of up to 12 dairy animals, beneficiaries in the general category will receive a 7.5% interest subsidy for up to 5 years after obtaining bank subsidy.
** Female, SC, ST beneficiaries will receive an 8.5% interest subsidy. For Gir/Kankrej breed units, a maximum interest subsidy of 12% is available.
** For shed construction, a maximum assistance of 50% of actual expenditure upto Rs. 1.50 lakh for general category, and 75% of actual expenditure upto Rs. 2.25 lakh for Gir/Kankrej breed.
** For animal insurance premiums for three years, a 75% subsidy up to Rs. 43,200/- for general category and 90% subsidy up to Rs. 51,840/- for Gir/Kankrej.
** For electric chaff cutter, fogger system, and milking machine, 75% subsidy on unit cost up to maximum Rs. 18,000/-, Rs. 9,000/-, and Rs. 33,750/- respectively for general category, and 90% subsidy on unit cost up to maximum Rs. 21,600/-, Rs. 10,800/-, and Rs. 40,500/- respectively for Gir/Kankrej.
** Interest subsidy will be available on the amount determined above for the unit cost fixed by NABARD or through the bank for the establishment of units for dairy cattle of up to 12 animals, whichever is less.
How To Apply For DOAH Establish 12 Milch Animal Farm?
** After obtaining loan approval for the purchase of 12 dairy animals from the Reserve Bank recognized institution/bank, application can be done through the I-khedut portal.
Documents to be attached with the application :
** Copy of residence proof (barcoded ration card/ Electricity bill/bank passbook with address)
** Copy of government-issued photo identification (Aadhar card/Voter ID/Driving License/Kisan Credit Card)
** Caste certificate (for SC/ST category only)
** Copy of bank passbook or cancelled cheque
** Copy of loan Sanctioned letter
** Land-related documents: Land ownership proof, 7/12 extract, 8A extract, or lease agreement for land
** Applicant’s self-declaration form
Other Conditions :
** Livestock owners who purchase 12 (twelve) dairy animals (cows/buffaloes) and establish a new dairy farm as per the prescribed criteria will be eligible for the benefits of this scheme. There is no assistance available for renovation and repair under this scheme.
** Beneficiaries must have ownership rights or inheritance rights or leasehold rights of the land.
** Additionally, if the beneficiary does not own land, the dairy farm can be established on leased land for a minimum of 7 (seven) years.
** Assistance under this scheme is mandatory for purchasing animals, establishing the dairy farm, and insurance of animals, these three components are essential.
** Additionally, assistance for the electric chaff cutter, milking machine, and fogger system can be obtained based on the requirements.
** It is advisable to obtain the loan from the Reserve Bank recognized institution/bank for purchasing livestock.
