All Governments have a responsibility towards their senior citizens. The Pensioners Helpline is a step in this direction. Besides ensuring that the pension is credited to the pensioner’s account on due date, the detail of pension being credited are also being available on the internet. All the pensioners have to do is, Select District Treasury and Pension Type, input their PPO Number (numeric part only) and the name (Part/Full); the month wise pension details (for the Last 12 Months- beginning July 2006) will be displayed. In case of any doubt, please feel free to write to District Treasury Officer, of your District.
Procedure :
Kindly follow the mentioned steps below to view your pension statement online.
** Step-1 : Select the District
** Step-2 : Select the Pension type
** Step-3 : Enter the Pensioner’s PPO No
** Step-4 : Enter the Pensioner’s Name
** Step-5 : Select the Financial Year
** Step-6 : Click on “Search” button
Note :
** All fields must be entered. Only if PPO No & Name match, the pension detail will be displayed.
** The Data has been supplied by all District Treasury Offices.The bank scrolls have been sent to various bank branches in State, for crediting the pension amounts to respective bank A/c’s, of Pensioners.
** This interface is for displaying pension details only & is not a bank statement. In case of discrepancy, please contact the concerned DTO, for its removal.

1. To whom Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972 are applicable?
The C.C.S.( Pension) Rules ,1972 are applicable in Himachal Pradesh to the Government servants who are appointed on or before 14.5.2003. These Rules are not applicable to new appointees of Himachal Pradesh Government appointed on or after 15.5.2003.
2. Under what rules pension/gratuity /family pension of an employee is regulated on a particular day?
A claim for pension/gratuity/family pension is regulated on the basis of rules in force on the date on which the employee ceases to be in service due to retirement or death.
3. Whether the day of death/retirement is treated as working?
Yes. The day of death of a Government servant including retirement in all cases, except on voluntary/premature retirement is treated as working day.
4. Whether a Government can get two pensions in the same service?
A Government servant is not eligible for two pensions in the same service or post at the same time or by the same continuous service. A pensioner receiving superannuation or retiring Pension, re-employed subsequently, is not eligible for a separate pension and gratuity for the period of his re-employment.
5. Option to count military service for pensionary benefits?
Ex-serviceman desiring to take advantage of the retirement benefits based on combined military and civil services should exercise option within one year from the date of his re-employment.
6. Which is the competent authority to count military service along with civil service for the purpose of pensionary benefits?
Administrative Department of the concerned department.
7. To what extent a government servant is entitled to commute pension for lump sum payment?
A Government servant is entitled to commute for a lump sum payment, an amount not exceeding forty percent of his pension.
8. Whether commutation of pension could be allowed to a Government servant or a pensioner against whom departmental or judicial proceedings are pending.
A Government servant/ pensioner against whom departmental proceedings are pending is not eligible to commute a certain percentage of his pension.
