The Assam Entry Tax Act, 2008 :
The Assam Entry Tax Act, 2008 has been enacted by the State Legislature to levy a tax on the entry of goods into local area for the purpose of providing the infrastructure and amenities to fecilitate trade and commerce within the State of Assam.
The Assam Taxation (On Specified Lands) Act, 1990 :
It was considered desirable to tax certain types of land on the basis of their productivity. Initially, lands involved in coal mining and production of green tea leaves were covered under the Act.
But lands involved in coal mining have since been excluded from the purview of the Act. Lands under cultivation of the tea were taxed at the rate of 18 paise per kilogram of green tea leaves produced, effective from 1st January 1990.
Note :
** GST registration for Tax Deductors (DDOs) and Tax Collectors (TCS) shall start from 25-07-2017.
** TDS provision [Sec.51] deferred by two months.
** Implementation of TDS provision [Sec.51] will be notified later on.
** Taxpayers / Tax deductors can obtain registration without Digital signature Certificate (DSC), e-Sign or Aadhar.
** Just saving the correct and completed application is enough to get certificate of registration under GST.
** Taxpayers are relaxed to file a simplified FORM GSTR-3B within 20th August, 2017 for the month of July, 2017 and within 20th September, 2017 for the month of August, 2017.
** Submission of GSTR-1 (Statement of outward supply) for the month of July, 2017 is extended upto 5th September, 2017 and for August, 2017 upto 20th September, 2017.
** GSTR-2 (Statement of inward supply) for the month of July, 2017 is extended upto 10th September, 2017 and for August, 2017 upto 25th September, 2017.
** GSTR-3 (Return) for the month of July, 2017 is extended upto 15th September, 2017 and for August, 2017 upto 30th September, 2017.

How & Where can I get the Clearance Certificate ?

Get Clearance Certificate :
To get online Tax Clearance Certificate , dealers needs to make requisition for same by visiting portal ax.assam.gov.in and selecting option “e-Tax Clearance Certificate” under E-services. Only dealers registered for e-services in the department and having Userid /password for working online can make requisition online.
Userid/password may be obtained from the concerned unit office where the dealer is registered. After successful login in the portal, Dealer needs to select the “Submit Clearance Request” option for obtaining Clearance Certificate. After filling the required details, acknowledgement number gets generated against the online requisition. Dealer can use “Track Clearance Request” option to track the status of clearance application and to print the Clearance Certificate.
