Company is incorporated on 15th September, 2003 with certificate of business w.e.f. 15th October, 2003. Commercial operation of company is started on 1st April 2005. PGVCL is feeding electricity in 12 district of Gujarat namely Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Amreli, Botad, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka and Gir Somanath.
For better administration and consumers’ conveniences, administrative area of company is divided in to total 11 and out of which 6 circles are under direct control of Corporate Office and 4 circles are under the control of Bhavnagar Zonal Office and 1 circle under the control of Bhuj Zonal Office. Functions of PGVCL
Here are some of the functions of PGVCL:
** Distribution of electricity: PGVCL is responsible for the distribution of electricity to consumers in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat.
** Maintenance of the electricity grid: PGVCL is responsible for the maintenance of the electricity grid in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat. This includes the maintenance of substations, transmission lines, and distribution lines.
** Collection of electricity bills: PGVCL is responsible for the collection of electricity bills from consumers in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat.
** Investment in new power generation projects: PGVCL is responsible for investing in new power generation projects in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat. This includes both thermal and renewable power generation projects.
** Promoting energy efficiency: PGVCL is responsible for promoting energy efficiency in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat. This includes providing financial incentives to consumers who adopt energy-efficient practices.
** Providing customer service: PGVCL is responsible for providing customer service to consumers in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat. This includes providing information about electricity tariffs, bill payment options, and complaint resolution procedures.

Is this long notice powercut 7:00 am to 01:00 pm required in 21st century ? 7 hours powercut can destroy our life in this summer. Can issue take this much long in 21st century ? Pgvcl should have to know what workers are doing in 7 hour power cut.

YOU MAY CHECK LAST ALL BILLS THEY ARE ALL OF MINIMUM PAYMENT ONLY. AS THE FLAT IS CLOSED.
