Constitution of India directs the State to provide public assistance to its citizens in case of destitute, old age, sickness and disablement.

RajSSP Pension Scheme Flow

1. Pensioners will submit the application for the RajSSP scheme.
2. Application will be received in sub Divisional Office/ Block Development Office
3. Verification is done by Tehsildar/ Naib Yehsildar
4. Pension will be sanctioned by sub Divisional Office/ Block Development Office

5. Once the sanction order is issued, treasury/ Sub- Treasury Office will initiate the disbursement. SDOs and BDOs are the sanctioning authorities of Social Security Pensions. The pension payment order (PPO) is prepared by the Treasury Officer at the district treasury office for itself

6. The PPO is prepared after scrutinizing the sanction letter submitted by the SDO / BDO. Once the PPO is prepared it is sent to the respective Treasury / Sub-treasury offices where pension payments are done.

7. Disbursement will be done in various payments modes like Money Order/ Cash/ Bank Account/ Post Office Account
8. Finally pensioners will receive the amount in hand.

Some Old age, Widows, Parityakta and Disabled persons are unable to survive daily. They will be provided monthly pension as minimum means of survival.

The identification of eligible pensioners is done by the Patwari and Thesildar and the report is submitted to Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) for Urban areas and to Block Development Officer (BDO) for rural areas.
