SBI Chandigarh Circle PF Status
The Association was found in the year 1984 only with 20-25 retirees. This was due to the efforts of Sarv Shri P.N.Chugh, K.K.Berri , O.P.Mahajen, K.D.Kumaria, P.D.Batta, A.K. Oswal.

Registered under societies act in the name of State Bank of India Pensioners’ Association having its registered office at Chandigarh. Sarv Shr Manmohan Singh, N.S.Dhamoon (not with us) started building the association from mid 90es all over the circle and its started growing.
The spouses of the pensioners are associate members. Shri N.S.Dhamoon veteral Trade Union Leader and Shri J.R.Gupta served the organisation as General Sec. and President since 2006. After the sad demise of Shri N.S.Dhamoon in april 2012, Shri J.R.Gupta took over as Gen. Sec. and Shri K.K.Puri and other Colleague committed to this cause took over as president. The executive committee has a term of 3 years.

SBI Mutual Welfare Scheme
To provide medical assistance to retired employees and their spouse and timely financial help to family members of the employees on their death, during service or after retirement.
Membership : Permanent employees of the Bank including those on probation and permanent Part time employees as on 31.12.1992 having 25 years of service or more till the age of 60 or with other terms and condition can become members of the scheme.

1. Please let me know whether the interest on overdraft for SBI pensioner is at par with other customers. That is 1% above the rate of TDR. It was advised by the Branch that Staff facility that is the rate of interest on overdraft is the same as the rate of interest have since been withdrawn. If so please let me know the number of circular by which it has been withdrawn.
2. The Web Site of State Bank of India Pensioners Association, Bengal Circle is in defect. This is the second time the web site goes defect. Although, I bought it to the notice of Shri R.N. Rate of interest on overdraft against TDR/STDR is the same as mentioned on TDR itself.
Is SBI pensioner association become dis-functional or dissolved because their web page is not working for the last couple of months what will be the fate of registered members of association where they will get information. If some know please share views.

Date: 10-11-2015.
The Committee appointed by the Government of India has submitted their report. The Court has granted 3 months time to the Government to study the report and take action as required. The case now stand posted to the 7th February 2017. This is as per a communication received by me from Shri A. Ramesh Babu, General Secretary of Federation of all India State Bank of India Pensioners Associations. Hence it can be deemed to be an authenticated.
