Complaint Online

1. The Sikkim Vigilance Police welcomes complaints from the general public on any matter relating to corruption, bribery, criminal misconduct, possession of disproportionate assets, showing of undue favors and other malpractices involving public servants in the State Govt. departments, public sector undertaking and other local authorities or organisations owned or controlled or funded in full or part by the Government.

2. All complaints sent to the Sikkim Vigilance Police should contain the name and address of the complainant which, if so requested, would be kept strictly confidential. The signed complaint can be given personally or through post or even through e-mails at :jasbir_antal@yahoo.co.in or giridb@yahoo.co.in

3. Complaints which are anonymous/pseudonymous in nature or vague or which have been made with a view to harass public servants or extract monetary or other advantages or settle political or personal scores will not be entertained.

Note:
The complaints are received exclusively by the Director Vigilance-cum-ex officio Commissioner, Vigilance and information concerning the complainant shall, if so requested, be kept strictly confidential.

1. Can a common man lodge a complaint with SVP?:
Yes, the SVP welcomes complaints or information from the general public on corruption. In fact, this forms the main source of our information.

2. What modes of complaints does the SVP accept?:
The SVP accepts all complaints relating to corruption/criminal misconduct by public servants except complaints which are anonymous/pseudonymous in nature or are vague or intended to settle political or personal scores. The signed complaints can be sent through post, fax or can be handed over personally. In fact, one can lodge a complaint through the SVP Website also.

3. Who can lodge a complaint and how?:
** The Fight against corruption cannot be started, let alone won, without the active and meaningful support of the public at large. The Sikkim Vigilance Police invites the co-operation of all right thinking people in their effort to eliminate this scourge. All complaints sent by post to the Director-cum-Ex Officio Commissioner have to be signed (except when sent by e-mail) and should contain the name and address of the complainant.

** Any member of the public can lodge a complaint with the Sikkim Vigilance Police on matters relating to malpractices or corruption in State Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Banks, other Corporations and Societies established by or under any Act, Government companies, societies and other local authorities, owned or controlled by the State Government or organisations funded in whole or part by the government or regarding any case of misconduct by officials of these institutions .

The SVP invites complaints through e-mail also. If you want to lodge a complaint against any public servant who fall within the jurisdiction of the Vigilance Department, all you have to do is to key in the following information at the following e-mail address: jasbir_antal@yahoo.co.in or giridb@yahoo.co.in
