How To Download JHS Health Card Online?

Journalists Health Scheme was launched on 8th January, 2016 vide G.O.Ms. No.64 HM & FW (A.2) Dept., Dt: 27.07.2015.It is intended to provide cashless treatment to all the working and retired journalist. The beneficiaries can avail cashless treatment for the empanelled specialties in all the Network Hospitals for all the listed therapies.

Steps To Download JHS Health Card Online :
1. User(Journalist) needs to access the portal using the URL jhs.telangana.gov.in where the user has a provision to click on ‘user login’ on the right top of the screen
2. On clicking ‘user login’, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to enter username and password and then clicks on ‘ login’
3. On clicking ‘login’, a page will be displayed where the user has a provision to click on Registration & Download Health Card
4. On clicking ‘download health card’, a page will be displayed where the user(journalist) will have a provision to view the health card details by clicking on ‘view card’ (or) has a provision to print the health card by clicking on ‘Print’ tab

Benefit Coverage:
What are the benefits covered under the Scheme?:
a. In-Patient Treatment:
The scheme will provide inpatient treatment for the 1885 Medical and Surgical procedures, similar to those being provided to the Government employees, in the empanelled hospitals. Inpatient treatment Package includes end-to-end cashless inpatient services from the time of reporting of the patient, including professional services, investigations, medicines, Implants, consumables, diet and ten(10) days post-discharge medication, including treatment of complications, if any, up to thirty (30) days post- discharge for those patients who undergo listed therapies offered through Network Hospitals.

b. Follow-up services:
The scheme will provide for a period of one year through fixed packages to those patients who require long term follow-up therapy in order to get optimum benefit from the procedure and avoid complications. Follow-up packages include consultation and medication.

c. Outpatient services for 25 Chronic diseases:
The scheme will provide Outpatient services for 25 Chronic diseases including consultation, Investigations and Dugs in the notified Government Hospitals.

d. Ward Entitlement:
During inpatient treatment, the beneficiary is entitled to stay in Semi private ward.

What is the financial coverage?:
a. The total cost on implementation of Journalists Health Scheme shall be borne by the Government and no contribution will be collected from them. b. There shall be no upper limit on the financial coverage and the total cost of treatment of the patient for the enlisted therapies will be covered under the Scheme.

Is Out-Patient treatment covered in Journalists Health Scheme?:
The scheme will provide Outpatient services for 25 chronic diseases including consultation, Investigations and Dugs in the notified Government Hospitals.

What are the empanelled hospitals?:
Treatment for all the enlisted procedures will be provided in all the network hospitals (both private and Government) empanelled with Aarogyasri Health Care Trust. The hospitals which are registered with Aarogyasri Trust, as service providers for providing cashless treatment to the beneficiaries under the scheme are called Empanelled hospitals.

Are the wards same as Aarogyasri wards in private hospitals or are there any separate wards allotted for the?:
No. Under JHS beneficiary is entitled to stay in Semi private ward.

Will the Journalist be treated on par with the common public who avail treatment on payment of cash?:
Yes. They will be treated on par with the patients making cash payment.

Is there a limit on the number of patients in each hospital?:
No. There is no limit on the number of patients to be admitted in hospitals and it is subject to availability of beds in the hospital.

What precautions should be taken before approaching the hospital, to avail cashless treatment in JHS?:
Ensure that the hospital and the required medical speciality are empanelled with the trust under the scheme to get the cashless treatment. For specific information may contact 104-Seva Kendram or visit website. After approaching the hospital the patient shall register with AAROGYA MITHRA available at the KIOSK of the hospital by providing the Health card.

What Should I do if the empanelled Hospital refuses to entertain or give a step motherly treatment?:
Complaint can be lodged in the portal as indicated below:  To the email id:jhs@aarogyasri.gov.in). (OR) Call 104-Seva Kendram and lodge complaint which will be forwarded to the Grievance Department of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust for redressal. (OR)
