Required Documents

** 1. General Power of attorney on favour of signatory in case of Partnership Firms; certified true copy of Resolution, authorizing the signatory to deal with the concerned Distribution Licensee, passed by the board of Directors in case of companies (as applicable).

** 2. Technical details of PV modules, inverted and other equipment of system proposed to be installed.
** 3. Proof of payment of Registration Fee.

1. The Maharashtra State Electricity Regulatory Commission has notified the MERC (Net Metering for Roof-top Solar Photo Voltaic Systems) Regulations,2015 on 10th September, 2015 for installation of Solar PV systems on Rooftop or any mounting structure by the existing/new consumers of MSEDCL in their premises for captive use.

2. The LT/HT consumer in MSEDCL’s area who intends to install a solar PV system less than 1 MW to cater all or part of his own electricity load requirement is eligible for getting connectivity of Roof-top Solar PV System with MSEDCL’s Network .This includes consumer catering to a common load such as Housing Society.

3. Such solar generation system may be owned and operated by the consumer itself or by third party leasing such system to the consumer.
4. The HT consumers (11 KV and above) may install and connect Rooftop Solar PV systems at their LT bus bar System.

5. The cumulative capacity of all Rooftop Solar PV systems under net metering arrangements connected to a particular Distribution Transformer shall not exceed 40% of its rated capacity.

6. The solar PV installation beyond 40% of DTC rated capacity may be allowed upon consideration of detailed load study on particular DTC.

7. The maximum Roof-top Solar PV system capacity to be installed at eligible consumer’s premises shall not exceed the cumulative capacity of the Relevant DTC which has already been utilized as per point No. 5 and 6 above.

8. The variation in the capacity of the solar PV system shall be allowed within a range of 5%.

  2. Is it necessary to increase meter load as per solar panel requirements for ex iam installing solar panel for 3kw & presently my meter load is 1kw so it is must to increase meter load capacity from 1kw to 3kw & i can get subcidy for it

  3. we submit solar application before completeing additional load procedure. i.e. we had 1 kw load and applied for 2 kw. in august 2010. now we have sanction 3 kw load from 10/10/2020 in light bill. but solar application we have given before i.e. applied in august 2020. so we want to cancelled solar rooftop application we had applied in august 2020. today i.e. from 10.10.2020 we have passed 3 kw in the bill. now we want to apply new application for solar top. but application not accepted
