Information regarding Online Registration under Various Acts handled by Labour Department Govt. of Kerala

1. The applicant need to select the Act for registration.
2. Please select the Concerned District and Registration office and the Place (If needed) and fill all the data in the application form.
3. Upon Submitting application the applicant can verify the details and also change the data before confirm the details.
4. The Applicant will get the application number after successful completion.
5. Payment Options Available 1. By Challan Using Challan applicant can download challan form(if necessary)for Payment. After payment to the Treasury applicant can update the payment details online.
6. The applicant can download and print the application after the successful completion of registration.
7. Applicant can take the print of application and send by post to the Concerned Labour Office along with the Original Challan.
8. After the verification of Application form and Challan the Registration Certificate will be available Online.The Applicant will be informed by SMS and Mail and can Download or Print the Registration Certificate and keep it for future reference and use.
9. If the Application is rejected, it also will be informed to the Applicant by Mail and SMS with the reason.
10. The Applicant can check the status of the Application any time in the Website.

step 1 : Select the category first.
step 2 : Enter the temporary registration number or application number in the coloumn.
step 3 : Enter the correct captcha code that shown in the image
step 4 : Press show button

How To Do Online Renewal?

1. Please select type of renewal before entering the Registration/Licence Number
2. Enter Computer Generated Registration / Licence Number(14 digit)
3. Click on the Display button.

About Us:

** The labour scenario changed after the Second World War due to widespread industrialization and it necessitated the formation of a department to handle the labour problems. In Kerala, formation of the Labour department was initiated by Diwan Sir C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer.

** The labour department was functioning as part of the Industrial Department till then. H H Maharaja, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma accorded sanction to create the post of the Labour Commissioner as per the letter No.154 dated 26.01.1946. From this date the Labour Department started functioning as an independent department.

Functions of Kerala Labour Commissionerate

The Kerala Labour Commissionerate is a government agency that is responsible for implementing labour laws in Kerala. The Commissionerate was established in 1946 and is headed by a Labour Commissioner, who is an Indian Administrative Service officer.

The Labour Commissionerate has a number of functions, including:
** Enforcing labour laws: The Commissionerate is responsible for enforcing labour laws in Kerala. This includes investigating complaints of labour law violations and taking action against violators.
** Providing information and guidance: The Commissionerate provides information and guidance to employers, employees, and trade unions on labour laws.
** Settling disputes: The Commissionerate settles disputes between employers and employees. This includes mediation, conciliation, and arbitration.
** Providing training: The Commissionerate provides training to employers, employees, and trade unions on labour laws and related matters.
** Providing welfare services: The Commissionerate provides welfare services to workers, such as providing assistance to injured workers and their families.
