Adibasi Shiksha Rrinn Yojana

To extend loans to eligible scheduled Tribe students for pursing FULL-TIME PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL / Course including PhD in India conducted by Colleges/Universities approved by UGC/Govt./AICTE/ICMR etc.

ELIGIBILITY :
(i) Applicants should be ordinary residents of West Bengal.
(ii) Students should have Scheduled Tribes Certificate issued by the Competent Authority(SDO/ADM).
(iii) Annual family income should be less than Rs.81,000/- in rural areas and Rs.1,04,000/- in urban areas.
(iv) The applicant should have secured admission to a recognized educational institution before applying for loan under this scheme.

PROFESSIONAL / TECHNICAL COURSE COVERED :
Full time professional / Technical course in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Management, Information Technology, Hotel management & Catering Technology, Biotechnology, Law Education, Journalism & Mass Communication CA & Higher Education like Doctoral Studies leading to M.phil / PhD from Government Recognized Institute, B.Ed. Course and Nursing Course conducted from Govt./Govt. recognized institution.

MAXIMUM LIMIT OF LOAN :
90% OF EXPENDITURE / DEPOSITS FOR ENTIRE DURATION OF THE COURSE SUBJECT TO A MAXIMUM LOAN AMOUNT OF Rs.5.00 lakh (Five lakh rupees) per eligible family. Balance 10% will have to be borne by the student.

EXPENSES COVERED :
Loan would covered expenses towards admission / Examination / Library / Laboratory / Tuition Fee, Boarding and Lodging, Caution Money, Building Fund / Refundable Deposit, Books, Stationery items, Computer, Equipments / Instruments, Study Tours, Project Work / Thesis, Insurance Premium for student and any other expenses towards completion of course.

RATE OF INTEREST :
6% p.a. Chargeable from the beneficiary.

RECOVERY :
After the moratorium period( Course Period plus one year or six months after getting job, whichever is earlier) within next (5 years subject to maximum period of 10 years.)

TAG / MARKER :
There would be a tag or marker on the Diploma / Degree of the loanee Student indicating his/her repayment liabilities to the WBTDCC Ltd.

LOAN AGREEMENT :
Applicant and his/her Guardian will have to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with West Bengal Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation Ltd. detailing terms and conditions of the loan and its repayment. Applicant will also have to undertake that he//she has not availed education loan from elsewhere and is also not getting any scholarship / concession / stipend from the Institution / Government or any other sources.

Following documents will be required during Documentation(in two sets) :
a) Application form signed by the applicant and his/her Father / Mother /Guardian as co-loanee.
b) Two copies of recent 3.5 X 3.5 cm size coloured photographs,
c) Original & photocopy of ST Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.(ADM / SDO)
d) Original & Photocopy of Birth Certificate/Admit Card of Board Examination as age proof.

e) Income Certificate of Father/Guardian (Certificate issued by Sabhapati of Panchayet Samiti / Chairman of Municipality / Block Development Officer / Sub-Divisional Officer / Additional District Magistrate / any Gazetted Officer / M.P. / M.L.A., or Certificate issued by employer in case of service holder may be accepted)

f) Copy of Voter’s ID Card / Electricity/Telephone Bill / Passport / Pass Book issued by any Nationalized Bank / Certificate issued by appropriate Authority as proof of residence.
g) Certification by the Institute in prescribed format duly signed and bearing seal of the Institute.
h) Original & photocopy of Ranking Card of Entrance Examination.

WORKFLOW :
1) Application to submit the Head Office of West Bengal Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation Ltd. against proper receipts.
2) Checking to be done at Head Office level.
3) Provisional acceptance to be intimated to the applicant.
4) Application with documents (ST Certificate + age proof + address proof + form of Certification) to be sent to NSTFDC for sanction of fund.
5) LOI received.
6) Notice for documentation indicating date time venue to be issued through email/SMS.
7) Applicants to submit all documents in original & sign Agreement, undertaking.
8) West Bengal Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation to issue sanction order/send to Institute.
9) West Bengal Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation to remit periodical installments of fees to the Institute directly.
10) Repayment to be started after expiry of six months from the date of completion of the course or getting employed which ever is earlier.
