Members registering as Associate Members of GRIHA Council are kindly requested to fill in this form and return to the Secretariat (swati.gupta[at]grihaindia.org).

The membership will be valid from the date of receipt of payment. Subsequent renewable fee is Rs. 1,00,000 + 14% Service Tax for two years.

GRIHA Council offers membership opportunities to various individual and collective stakeholder groups that are associated with the building industry, whether it be directly (developers, contractors, designers, engineers, consultants etc.) or indirectly (product manufacturers, students, or the general public).

Students Membership :
For students enthusiastic in MAKING a greener INDIA
Agents of Change for Environment (ACE) is a student membership program by GRIHA Council to bring along the future generations of architects and engineers together and provide an interactive platform for disseminating knowledge around GRIHA way of greening INDIA. ACE members become the torch bearers to fight for their and coming generations future.

** Student membership will be valid for 1 year from the date of joining.
** Admittance to regional, national conferences, and site visits include entry fee only. Travel logistics and accommodation has to be arranged by the students themselves.
** Admittance to these events are subject to prior online registration only. Student members trying to register on-spot for these events will not be entertained under complementary/ discounted price.
** Any student who has been a member for 2 years or more can send articles to be published in the GRIHA magazine (subject to review by the editorial committee)
** Proof of college id and bona fide certificate is mandatory.
** Membership acceptance is at the discretion of GRIHA Council and its decision will be final.

About Us :
GRIHA is an acronym for Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. GRIHA is a Sanskrit word meaning – ‘Abode’. Human Habitats (buildings) interact with the environment in various ways.

Throughout their life cycles, from construction to operation and then demolition, they consume resources in the form of energy, water, materials, etc. and emit wastes either directly in the form of municipal wastes or indirectly as emissions from electricity generation.

GRIHA attempts to minimize a building’s resource consumption, waste generation, and overall ecological impact to within certain nationally acceptable limits / benchmarks.
