IOB is glad to inform all its valued customers that we are launching a new product named ‘mPassBook’, with effect from 15th Aug 2015 – a smartphone application to facilitate, create and update the virtual passbook of an account in the your mobile.

This app will help you to be self-dependent without visiting branches for updating passbook every time.

This mobile app also functions as a personal ledger where you can classify your Income as well as expenditure that happens from your account viz Grocery, Fuel, Travel etc. Personal remarks against each of transaction can be marked by yourselves for your easy reference.

Features of mPassbook :
** App provides a Virtual Passbook in your mobile handset
** Instant Access to the account details round the clock (24 x 7 x 365)

** You can search transaction history using the following parameters
Transaction date
Transaction amount
Account type

** Personal Ledger can be maintained with the narration for each transaction.
** Each transaction can be marked with a specific narration/notes in the app. Eg., “Daughter’s fees”, “Grocery” etc which can be used as personal explanatory notes

6. What is the procedure for first time user to activate/register in IOB mPassBook application?
One can activate/register for this service using the following steps:
I. Visit Google/Windows/Apple store from mobile and search for “IOB mPassbook”
II. Download and install the App
III. Enter account number and mobile number
IV. System verifies whether the Customer has registered the mobile number to the given account, and if so
V. One Time PIN (OTP) is sent to customer’s mobile
VI. On validating with OTP, choose a Six digit PIN for the app
VII. All the account numbers related to the customer id are attached to the mobile app

7. From when my transactions will get downloaded to my phone in mPassbook app?
To start with, the transactions from 1st June 2015 are downloaded to the mobile.
