** Signed by the subscriber with dateand completeresidential address & telephone numberofthe subscriber.
** Certificate ofadvances/withdrawal sanctioned during the last 12 months prior to retirement/Dismissal/Death.
** Details of last fund deduction
** Signed by the higher authority competent to sanction NRA tothesubscriber.
** Complete address of the DDO with PIN code in favour of whom authority to be issued.
** Details of missing credits/debits if any such as voucher No. & date, total amount raised in such voucher and subscription andrefund amount.
** Nomination filed by the subscriber.
** There should beclearmentionof beforenoon/afternoon in case of date of voluntary retirement. Applicant

About Us :
The Office of the Accountant General, Mumbai was established on 1st May 1858 at the Old CGO Complex, New Marine Lines, Churchgate, Mumbai. Over more than 125 years, the auditing and accounting responsibilities of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India in relation to the State of Maharashtra expanded manifold and as of today the same are being managed by the following six offices of the Indian Audit & Accounts Department, each headed by a separate Accountant General/ Principal Accountant General.

Functions of Maharashtra Accountant General

The Accountant General (AG) of Maharashtra is the head of the state’s accounting and auditing department. The AG is responsible for maintaining the state’s financial records, auditing government accounts, and ensuring that government spending is in accordance with the law.

The AG’s office is divided into two main branches: the Accounts Branch and the Audit Branch. The Accounts Branch is responsible for maintaining the state’s financial records, including the budget, accounts, and receipts. The Audit Branch is responsible for auditing government accounts to ensure that they are accurate and compliant with the law.

The AG has a number of statutory powers, including the power to:
** Inspect government offices and records
** Summon government officials to testify
** Require government officials to produce documents
** Report on any irregularities or illegalities to the government
