Womens Hostel Registration :

It has been brought to my notice that a large No of private hostels and paying Guest ( PG) accommodations have come up in the Iinformation Technology (IT) area of Madhapur, Gachibowli and Raidurgam Police stations limits .

A large No. of these Hostels and PGs are being occupied by women .It is realized that there are no standard safety and security practices being followed in these women hostels and PGs .

Whereas time to time issues relating to women’s security have come to the notice of Cyberabad police and it is felt that public place of halts need to be regulated and registered for safety and security reasons.

With a view to maintain public place of halts and public regulating in the Cyberabad Metropolitan area, I C.V Anand I.P.S Commissioner of Police Cyberabad in exercise of powers vested in me under rule 21 (f) sub section (2) of Hyderabad City Police Act 1348F r/w of sec .7 of Act No (2) of 2004 of Cyberabad Metropolitan Area police Act do here by issue the following orders .

a) No person shall run the Hostel /PG Hostels for women without getting registered with the local police stations in Madhapur, Gachibowli and Raidurgam PS limits .
b) All the owners /managers shall submit information on the existing safety and security practices in the hostels /PGs duly filled n Form –A ( Registration Form ) . (this Form shall be available at local police station and Cyberabad Police Website – cyberabadpolice.gov.in)
c) All the hostels /PGs owners /managers are required to furnish the information in Form – A ( Registration Form ) to the local police station with in (30) days form the issue of this order .
d) The guide lines given in Annexure -1 shall be followed strictly.

This Notification shall be published by affixing in any conspicuous place in the locality where it is intended to be published or by proclaiming the same with beat of drum or by advertising the same in any local newspaper police stations Divisional ACsP Zonal DCsP Municipal ward offices and by affixing copies at the Tahsil and ward offices

Guidelines for safety and security practices in Women Hostel/P.G :
1. The premises must have proper entry /exit with proper access control in place.
2. There must be a compound wall with minimum of 5 feet height
3. The entries must be manned by a watchmen/security guard and they should be available round the clock.
4. There must be a record/Register to note the particulars of visitors.
5. The premises must be having CCTV Cameras installed at entry /exit and at least 15 days recording facility should be available however the CCTV cameras should be only in the common areas and entry exists and should not include into the privacy of the inmates.
6. For analysis and monitoring the standard and specifications of cameras should match with the provisions of AP Public safety act
7. The premises must have adequate fire extinguisher and fire emergency mechanisms.
8. Management should maintain Notice board, First Aid Kit and also suggestion/complaint box.
9. Management should maintain the emergency contact details of Women helpline and Police control room and other means of emergency communication procedures.
10. The management should maintain Emergency contact details of the local guardian/relatives of the inmates.
11. The management should maintain records, photos, copy of address ID proofs of the Workers/watchmen, cook and other staff.
12. The management should maintain locker and key in rooms individually.
