Inviting Suggestions On Online Maintenance Of Registers Under 9 Labour Laws :
1. The Ministry of Labour & Employment vide Notification dated February 21, 2017 for ease of compliance of Labour Laws reduced the number of Registers to be maintained to 5 in place of 56 Registers which were provided under the following Central Labour Laws/Rules

1.1. The Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1996
1.2. The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 Service) Act, 1979

1.3. The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976
1.4. The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1979

1.5. The Mines Act, 1952
1.6. The Minimum Wages Act, 1948
1.7. The Payment of Wages Act, 1936

1.8. The Sales Promotion Employees (Conditions of Service) Act, 1976
1.9. The Working Journalists and Other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955.

Self Declaration by Startup :
Government of India has decided to promote the Start-Up ecosystem in the country to incentivize the entrepreneurs in setting up new start-up ventures and thus catalyzethe creation of employment opportunities through them. Start-ups, as defined by DIPP, are advised to self-certify the compliance with the Labour Laws.

The guidlines and order issues in this regards are as
Issued by Central Government :
** Advisory on increase in Self-Certification duration from 3 years to 5 years Startup India
** Self-certification formats for compliance under the Labour Laws Startup India.
** Start-UP India Action Plan

The Labour Laws to be covered under this are :
1. The Building and Other Constructions Workers’ (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996
2. The Inter-State Migrant Workmen(Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979

3. The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972
4. The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
5. The Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952
6. The Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948

1. First, Register at Shram Suvidha Portal (Please ignore if you are already Registered)
2. Login into Portal
3. After successful login, Click link “Is Any of your Establishment a Startup?”

About us :
The objective of Web Portal is to consolidate information of Labour Inspection and its enforcement. It will lead to transparency and accountability in inspections. The compliances would be reportable in Single Harmonized Form which will make it simple and easy for those filing such forms.

The performance will be monitored using key indicators thus making the evaluation process objective.It promote the use of a common Labour Identification Number (LIN) by all Implementing agencies.
