Through the SMS No.“9811599901” the general publiccan make enquiries regarding stolen vehicles, unclaimed vehicles on the basisof either Registration Number, Engine Number or Chassis Number of the Vehicle,Passport verification status enquiry and Delhi Police Telephone Number enquirycan also be made from cell phones by using this Short Message Service.
The syntax of each service is as given below:

Stolen Vehicles Search :
SV<Regn. No. or Engine No. or Chassis No.> e.g. SV DLS6403. If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
Status, Registration Number, Chassis Number, Engine Number, Police Station, FIR Number, Model, Make, Colour.
Unclaimed Vehicles Search :
UN<Regn. No., Engine No. or Chassis No. >e.g. UN DL 1RB6543. If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
Registration Number, Chassis Number, Engine Number, Police Station, FIR Number, Make, Model, Colour.
Passport Verification Status :
PV<File Number> e.g. PV A04684001. If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
File Number, Status, Name, Father Name, Dispatch Number, Dispatch date.
Stolen Fire Arm Search :
AR<Fire Arm Number> e.g. AR 93564. If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
FIR Number, Police Station, Make, Model.
Telephone Number of Police Station :
PS<Name of Police Station> e.g. PS Alipur.
If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
PS Name, TELSHO, TELDO, TELADDSHO.
Stolen/Missing Mobile Phones :
MM<IMEI No.> e.g. MM 359362009266090.
If match is found, SMS Originator will receive a message in the following format:
Status, IMEI No., State, District, PS, FIR No. & FIR Date.
In case match is notfound, SMS Originator will receive a message conveying “No information found”or “No data found” for the above cases.
