Getting started :
We let you create a username that you like, and a password instantly
** Login to IDFC Bank website and choose login (the lock symbol in the upper right hand corner)
** Select “Personal and Business Banking“
** Click on “Create Your User Name”
** Enter Customer ID and click on submit
** Enter Account Number or Debit Card Number
** Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number
** Select your User Name and create your own Internet Banking Password and click on “Continue”.
** Accept the Terms and Conditions by clicking “Create my Username” and you’re all done to use all our services offered on Internet Banking.
Note:
** User ID has to be between 6- 10 characters which can be alphanumeric in nature.
** Password should be between 6-15 characters and once can use a combination of characters, alphabets, numbers to create one. Alphabets and numbers are compulsory.
Retrieving the Username :
Steps to retrieve User ID are :
** Click on Forgot Username
** Enter Customer ID and click on submit
** Enter Account Number or Debit Card Number and relevant details
** Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number
** We will send it to you on your Email, on your Mobile & show it on thescreen too!!!
Retrieving your Internet Banking Password :
You can set a new password in few simple steps :
** Click on Forgot Password
** Enter the User ID
** Enter the OTP received and create your new password
Profile settings :
Change Debit Card PIN :
We let you change your PIN via a simple 3 step flow :
** Enter Debit Card number, Expiry date & CVV
** Enter the OTP we have sent you for this transaction
** Enter your current and new PIN to update it. And you’re all done
Change Internet Banking Password :
Changing your password is even easier; it’s just 2 steps
** Click on Change Password
** Enter your current and new password to update it. And you’re all done
Update Challenge Questions :
** Challenge questions are an additional level of security that we have provided for you.
** They can be reset anytime at your convenience.
** Simply login to our Internet Banking portal and update them.
Update Profile :
As a customer, you can :
** Add / Edit E Mail ID
** Update PAN Number
** Update Aadhar Number
Do’s :
1 The customer should mandatorily change the User-Id and password assigned by the bank on accessing Internet Banking Services for the first time.
2 Customer should keep the User-id and password totally confidential and not reveal them to any third party.
3 Customer should commit the User-id and password to memory and not record them in a written or electronic form
4 Customer should always check the URL address on the address bar of internet browser. This should begin with “https”; the letter ‘s’ at the end of “https” means ‘secured’.
5 Customer should look for the padlock symbol either in the address bar or the status bar (mostly in the address bar) but not within the web page display area and verify the security certificate by clicking on the padlock.
6 Customer should
** fill in the correct account number of the person to whom the funds are to be transferred;
** fill in the correct Card number while making Card payments;
** fill in the correct details such as the name of the payee (who may or may not have an account with the Bank), mailing address, amount of the Demand Draft and the city/state where the Demand Draft is payable.
7 If customer finds his/ her mobile number inactive he should contact his telecom service provider immediately
8 Customer should regularly view internet banking account history through activity logs available in internet banking application
9 Customer should install a comprehensive firewall/antivirus/anti-spyware software package on his computer & update the same on a regular basis. These software suites help detect and remove viruses and spyware, that can steal vital information.
10 If user has to share his mobile & personal computer with anyone else or send it for repair/maintenance, he should:
** Clear the browsing history
** Clear cache and temporary files stored in the memory as they may contain account numbers and other sensitive information
11 Customer should use the virtual keyboard (VKB) wherever available to prevent key-logger compromises as such malware can track keystrokes in a physical keyboard
12 Customer should always clear his browser cache after each session
13 Customer should register wherever necessary for multi-factor authentication.
14 Customer should disable the “Auto Complete” function on his browser:
If customer is using Internet Explorer, he should turn off the ‘Auto Complete’ function on his browser to prevent the system from remembering Passwords.
To Disable the “Auto Complete” function:
** Open Internet Explorer. Select Tools->Internet Options->Content (Tab)
** Click on Settings Button under Auto Complete section
** De-Select User Names and passwords on forms check box
** Click on “OK”
15 Customer should log off completely from his online banking website, close the browser and log off PC, when not in use.
16 Customer should register for SMS alerts to keep track of banking transactions
17 Customer should ensure that he uses reputed endpoint security for his system and keep it updated to prevent any infection. In case the system is infected he should clean it up before using internet banking
