Step 2: Fill all the fields in the Tabs as described in the application form as per the instructions mentioned.
Step 3: Please do not submit your application until you have entered required details in all the information fields of the application form.
Step 4: After submitting the application form, pay application processing fee online by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking.
Step 5: On successful submission of your online application form, you will get an online application number. Please retain this application ID for future correspondence / reference.

1. What are the criteria for admission to the UMKC MS programme?
Admission Requirements :
A ‘C’ grade in any of the computer courses will disqualify the student for admission into this programme. The following computer science courses will be used to compute the score for admission.

Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures, Mathematics III (Probability & Numerical Analysis), Design & Analysis of Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Computer Architecture and Organisation, Operating System, Software Engineering, Theory of Computation. Students must not have a ‘C’ grade in any of these courses

The list also includes the following courses : Digital Logic & Circuits, Signals & Systems, Microprocessor & Microcontroller and Communication Networks

GPA :
A student must have 7.5 GPA (first class according to Indian measure) in all CS courses listed above to qualify for admission. At UMKC, admitted students must continue to maintain at least 70% (3.0/ 4.0 or higher) in the remaining undergraduate courses at UMKC.

Students on the border line (GPA between 2.8/ 4.0 and 3.0/ 4.0) will be given all possible considerations and help to recover and be able to continue in Programme 31 before they are denied transition to MS track.

TOEFL :
Student must take TOEFL and score at least 6.5/ 9.0 (IELTS – new TOEFL) which is equivalent to about 79/ 120 in IBT (old TOEFL).

GRE :
A student who maintains 3.5/ 4.0 or higher will automatically be inducted into the MS programme without taking GRE (GRE is waived). Students with GPA less than 3.5/ 4.0 must appear for GRE and secure 75 percentile in quantitative category to apply to the MS programme.

How safe are women in the campus?
The entire Campus has 24X7 security. In addition, all hostels have dedicated guards. For the girls’ hostels, we have a dedicated lady warden and an additional lady guard.

We have campus In-time of 10 pm for all students. The girls are required to return to their respective hostels by 11 pm.
